You are getting very sleepy...
I hate it when you're so exhausted you could collapse on the spot, so you go to bed several hours early. And you sleep great. For two and ½ hours. And then bam! Eyes wide open, yet still tired as hell. Thank god I don't have to go to class in the morning or anything.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Well, at least I am not the only one! Except I didn't get the preliminary bit of sleep before the "bam!" part. I was merely so sleepy I could barely stay awake. Then before I could fall asleep for real, after being all but asleep when I put down the John Adams book I am reading and turned out the light, that was it; wide awake, wired, and yet feeling exhausted. I don't get it. I can't be stressed over taxes any more! Those are done. Argh.

You have my sympathies.

I felt exactly the same way when I went to bed last night... I was exhausted, and the bed felt really good when I retired to it. The room was quiet, dark, and fairly warm, and I was lulled to sleep...

Then came the snore.

Worst. Sleep. EVAR.

And I *did* have class this morning, to boot.

I'm just used to not sleeping, I guess. Hope you feel better soon though. hugs.

What is "sleep"?

When you're a new parent, you're always ready to collapse, and two and a half hours of great sleep is just a twisted fantasy :)

I always end up completely tired and falling asleep at work and as soon as I get home (where there's a bed!) I'm wide awake. So annoying!

I thought I was the president of that club. I can't seem to get to bed much before 1-1:30am. I have to be to work at 8am. Last week twice I was up past 3am. No, I don't do it on purpose, but when I look at the clock and say to myself "What the HELL am I STILL doing awake?" I just can't come up with an answer that makes sense. At least my lovely and talented wife has come to grips with it and doesn't pester me about it any more. Maybe if I drank a few beers every night and simply passed out?
