Still on dialup...but wanted to take a few moments to congratulate the Lady Sooners who've just been invited to play in the NCAA Tourney. They're a 10th seed and their first game will be on our home court in Norman, OK. Good luck girls!
The OU mens team three-peated today and won the Big XII Tournament Championship for the third straight year. It was a fuh-gly performance with a blown 22-point lead in the second half, but the Sooners went on to defeat Mizzou 49-47. The mens NCAA Tourney seeding will be announced later this evening. I must say I'm a little concerned. OU didn't have a pretty second half in any of the Big XII Tournament games. They got in foul trouble against Colorado. They blew a huge lead over Texas Tech and ended up going into overtime yesterday. And then there was today's collapse... Let's hope a week of regrouping, and free throw practice, will help get us back on track. Although my  belongs to football, March Madness is awesome baby!
 You're a real PTPer, baybee! I'd be interested to see how Duke seats. My cousin goes there and the parent of one of their star players is a friend of mine from work. Despite that I am in no way a Duke fan. Cool! The Sooners placed 1st and they're playing in their home state. That one's gonna be brutal. Playing on a "home" court in OKC will definitely help as well. I'd be pretty surprised if they don't make the Final Four, but I wouldn't bet on them to win it. It just sucks that they put AZ and KY on the same side of the brackets. Those are the 2 best teams in b-ball right now, and that needs to be the final. I'm still in shock that our poor little LSU team got an 8 seed...we were wondering if we'd get in at all. If we can get past Purdue and then get clobbered by Texas in the next round, it'll still be a moral victory for us. All my hopes are with the LSU women's team...they're the 1 seed and have a pretty good chance of winning it all. Anyway, good luck to your Sooners. You got your NCAA tournament, your NIT tournament, your women's NCAA tournament (by the way, the best fundamental basketball is played by the women) you got your NBA getting close to wrapping up the season with teams pushing for playoff seeding, you got your baseball spring training and very soon you'll have your NCAA football spring drills.
