I want my MTV DSL!
If you're trying to find us online this weekend, you're gonna have to wait awhile. We've been without DSL access for over 14 hours now due to an outage in the area, with no end in sight... I'm so glad I had planned to (and needed to) work all weekend. Hmmph. I forgot what torture 56K was, so this won't last long. If you're waiting to hear back from me, please continue to hold. Your call is important to us.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Baby, I live the 56k blues everyday. And this is the only thing available to me right now. Blah!

Well that sucks!

I've gotten so spoiled by my cable modem, dial-up drives me batty now.

I can remember during grad school back in the late 90s how excited I would get if I could get my modem to connect to AOL at 33 or higher instead of 9 or 14. LOL.

Now I'm also spoiled on high speed. Sometimes when I travel for business I'll get stuck in a hotel without high-speed and have to dial in, and I feel really put out. Hell, I feel put out if I'm tied to a desktop, now that I've got the wireless network in the house and can surf on my laptop from my recliner (or the crapper :) ).

We're so spoiled with our toys.

OH man, that happened to us this weekend too. Two whole days, then it came back up and our router doesn't work and we're only online with ONE machine. It's torture!

We're STILL offline on Sunday morning. We're about to get medieval on their asses. Free Juno web with pop-up ads SUCKS ASS.

I hear ya Robyn! I'm at my mother-in-law-to-be's house right now, and there's only my back-up dial-up account available! I'm so glad I brought my laptop along... it's passes the time so much easier when everyone else is still asleep.

now you know my pain, everyday. hmmm i wonder if the dial up has anything to do with the fact i'm losing my mind... i'm going to have to investigate that!!

Actually that is a relief - we have several field sales people in the company I work for in the Tampa area and they, too, are without their DSL and we have been checking our end of it "with a fine toothed comb". Nice to know it isn't our end! (Which is what we told them all along)

Just wanted to rub in the fact that I am currently enjoying my cable speed, not that I'd want you to be jealous or anything...nope, no chest thumping here. :)

Oooh, sorry to hear that. My DSL has taken a poopy twice in the last couple of weeks and it bites. Hard to imagine that we used to do it at 28K.
