I have a little salt handy - where's an open wound?
Official 2002-03 ATPTB Bucs Football Quote of the Season: "Lets be realistic - come talk to me when the Lucks actually play and beat a team with a winning record." - iggles

My team just won Super Bowl XXXVII -- how about you, and every other smack-talker I've endured this past season, come back and talk to me now, hmmmm? Nah, I didn't forget my promise. Real blondes never do. Sometimes girls just know more about football than you.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Darn...where are all those smack talkers at? Hmmm...they must be hiding from your salt? hahahahaha..I'm very glad the Bucs won...and not only did they win, they did it quite spectacularly at that!

I hope and pray that one day, sometime before I die, I will be able to make a post like this for all of the Yankee fans out there! As in *RED SOX WIN THE WORLD SERIES* Just once, before I die...is that too much to ask???

In the meantime, I revel in your victory. Congrats! :-)

Christine, for your sake (I really don't even enjoy baseball all that much) I hope that they win. You Boston peeps have been deserving of a pennant for years now!!

And Rob, let the salt-pouring begin! If they can dish that shit out, let 'em take it riiiight back!

Christine, I shall now become an honorary Sox fan in your honor this upcoming season! :-)

Christine...with all due respect...I want the Cubs to win so my poor husband will be happy at last ;)

¤ ¤ credit: daisy | 01.27.03 at 08:38 AM | link--this ¤ ¤

Oh...and Robyn....I was rooting for the Bucs...just for you....you love the Sooners and that made your team the one to root for!

¤ ¤ credit: daisy | 01.27.03 at 08:38 AM | link--this ¤ ¤

Forget the Cubs... go Red Sox!

¤ ¤ credit: Jason | 01.27.03 at 09:20 AM | link--this ¤ ¤

wait just a moment Robstar...

There are some girls out there who know just as much about football as you do, who will still talk the talk because they are devoted to their team... you'd be feeling the same if the Bucs had lost and the Eagles (or Raiders, if you will) prevailed...

I don't think Robyn said anything about other women not knowing about sports. In fact, I think she's being pretty vocal about the fact that some women DO know as much or more than some guys about football.

And, let's face it, the Bucs DID win, ergo, she gets bragging, and rubbing salt in open wounds, rights for the next year!

Exactly what Tracy said!

¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 01.27.03 at 01:59 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

Well said Tracy.

On another note...
It is one thing to be all gung-ho for your team, and another thing to be a complete asshat ( like Steve ).

Here we have a team that has beaten MOST if not ALL the odds that have been piled against them in recent years. And people have the need to tell us that they suck. WHATEVER!

We sit here as SuperBowl Champs. Where are you all sittin'??

See, next year doesn't matter. Last year doesn't matter. We all know how a team can change from year to year, as players and coaches come and go.

Take the here and now and enjoy it. For those that still think the Bucs suck...you are certainly entitled to your opinions.

But be prepared. Cause we now have the rights to the smack talk until next season!!!

I'm sittin' here bored! Thoroughly bored! It's officially dull. Baseball season doesn't start up for awhile. I could care less about basketball. No football for eight more months and the games of the college teams that I like don't even really get broadcast where I am...and hockey isn't all that great until the playoffs...plus I'm a NY Rangers fan so it's not like I'll even see my team there... let's put it simply: I HAVE NOTHING TO DO! :)

Um, Ericalynn...I hear there's a BIG ice dancing competition on t.v. this weekend**. You can pick a couple and cheer for them!!!

(**no, not really ;-) )

¤ ¤ credit: Tracy | 01.27.03 at 04:07 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

wah, wah, wah! I hate it when there's no football. aaaaaaaaaaargh. ice. dancing. STINKS!

Racing starts in 19 days...less if you realize the best racing isn't on TV.

I can survive 19 days. I can survive 19 days. I can survive 19 days.

And in the meantime, there's Joe Millionaire, American Idol, the Bachelorette...

{ducking!!}

What's up... saw your site before the Super Bowl, and was actually going to post some smack, being a life-long Raiders fan, but then I left town and didn't get a chance to. Anyways, painful as it is for me, congrats. I bet shots with a couple Bucs fans at the bar I was at watching the game... and after like midway through the third, all the Buc fans would sing the "hey hey goodbye" song after every big Bucs play... not a good day. But since I would have posted if the Raiders won, I should probably still post after the loss. So here ya go. And yes, you do get bragging, and rubbing salt in open wounds, rights for the next year.
