"Just gimme the damn ball"
How 'bout I give you that bitchslap you so richly deserve instead...? I'm awake now. Thanks Keyshawn. And thank YOU, D!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Ok, we can kiss and make up now 19.

Tampa ain't lookin' so good... better make some serious adjustments for the second half...

'Scuse me -- misspoke. Clearly, I was referring to San Francisco. Another beer, please?

Calm down, its only the 49ers. Bucs will have to go to philly where they never scored a td, so their road will end there.

I'd personally love for Keyshawn to have the chance to get pushed around a little (okay, a lot) by my beloved Jets D. Lets hope they make it a little farther.

#1 The Jets wont beat the raiders today.
#2 The Bucs wont win in Philly.

All I want for the Playoffs is for Warren Sapp to smack Donovan around a little. Please, please, please.

¤ ¤ credit: Zuly | 01.12.03 at 02:39 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

Everytime the bucs play philly, the only npoise sapp makes is with his big fat black mouth.

¤ ¤ credit: birds | 01.12.03 at 02:40 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

And the Falcons could never win at Green Bay, who had never lost a playoff game at home...

And birds, with that last comment (where I have struck out what offends me), welcome to my ban list. Fucking Eagles fans. You just prove over and over how classless you are.

I think I'm about to shoot me some birds...

The word around this household today is, "make me kick it again, bitch!" Booyah!

I like the Bucs - Brad Johnson has a chip on his shoulder and that D! It won't be a pretty game next week, but Tampa knows how to win ugly - learned it under Tony Dungy. One thing about Green Bay: at least they play on grass, not plastic green carpet. As Kevin Coster says in Bull Durham: "There ought to be a constitutional amendment banning astroturf". Go Bucs!

Edited by Robyn...if you want to play with the big kids, you aren't going anonymous here. Especially if you're an Eagles fan.

Personally I'd like to see the Bucs package Keyshawn and Sapp together and trade them to Cincinnati for Corey Dillon and some draft picks. KJ is good, but not irreplaceable, and Sapp has never lived up to the media hype, especially in the last 9 weeks. When Booger MacFarland is out, Sapp does nothing, except showboat and talk smack.

I was disappointed with an interview with Gruden when he said that he didn't mind Sapp being the "face of the Bucs", that he represented them. I totally disagree, since he's the only one on the best defense with a big ego and a big mouth. To me, the face of the Bucs 'D' is "our favorite player, Mr. Derek Brooks."

I have to agree with you. All the smack I talk, I can say this for the Bucs - they are a QB, a reciever, and a rb away from being the most dominant offense in the league. Imagine if they got AJ Feeley (Jon Gruden is shear west coast offense and thats what AJ knows) and then got someone like Marvin Harrion (who I think would be a great trade for sapp and KJ). Pick up a free agent WR, and they are set.

Their defense needs more speed on it. A faster FS and and end to replace sapp (such as Hugh Douglas if he doesnt re-sign with the eagles). My God that would be an amazing team.

Warren Sapp is not as good as he wnats people to beleive he is. He flaps his mouth off but never really backs up his words. He is too slow for the new offenses of this league. Defenses are being re-deisgned to deal with the macnabbs, vicks, favres of the league. Sapp will be reduced to nothing more than a so-so offensive lineman.

This is one of the many reasons why Tampa will not win at the Vet.

Lunchbox, we say that every time he's introduced... How many times all-pro?

¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 01.13.03 at 03:04 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

Warren Sapp rates a double-team block every down he is on the field; usually a double lineman and a back in pass protection. How does Simeon Rice get any kind of inside move without a double-team elsewhere? You can't always rush the outside - that's what a pocket QB wants. If he does nothing other than that Warren makes the rest of his teammates better. If he gets no tackles it is because the opponent is expending three players stopping him from getting those tackles.

Football is won in the pits; the horses that line up and get little-to-no recognition. Do you really think a QB or RB can do it on his own? Any of them that make such a claim, the linemen will do their "lookout" blocking -- turn around and yell 'Look out here he comes!'. When you cut down on the number blocking your line becomes weaker. Warren Sapp accomplishes this.

Robyn, I know Sapp is an x-many times All-Pro, but I know you're smart enough to know that's a popularity and fame contest. Why else would Alstott (whom I love) be voted starting FB? If you watched, you'd know he got all his yards as a TB, not a FB. Bill, as for Sapp, he hasn't gotten a true double team all year. What teams are doing is dedicating a guard to him, and having a back or TE hit him and peel off. His work against the run is mediocre. I would love to see a stat that showed rushing yards allowed with and without MacFarland. Just from watching you can tell they allow many more without him. He's stronger than Darby, Spires and Wyms but not faster, and if you believe he's 6'2", 303 then you're as generous as the announcers. Friends who have met him say he's closer to 6'0" 335. I'd also like to have a count of how many times he's hit QB's after the throw. Not late hits, mind you, but he's just not getting there.

I invented a drinking game, called Sapp shots, where you have to take a drink every time they show him after a play he was involved with. My favorite is when they show his reaction after a field goal. If you play this, you'd better stock up, and have someplace comfortable to fall down.

¤ ¤ credit: Lunchbox | 01.14.03 at 03:10 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

Correction - the game is to drink after every play he was NOT involved in. That's why it's so effective.

Pardon the error.

Can I just drink regardless, Lunchbox? ;-)

Robyn,

You can drink anytime you want, doll. I just wish I was there for it. :~}>
