I love Clay's voice. reuben is nice but Clay just has it vocally. Reuben is all baratone and seems to be in that vandross style all the time but Clay can switch styles. I hope he wins.

Yep. Reuben seemed decidedly off tonight. Normally he's pretty good and has a very smooth sound, but I think that Clay seems to have more oompf when it comes to performing. Plus he's got that geeky cuteness to him that I just find adorable :)

Even though I don't like "Idol," I will have to say I'd vote for Clay. I've met him (and his entire family) in person and he's a really nice guy.
And, yes, he has an accent but who cares? He's from the south-- get over it. And even though he keeps a lot of close women friends, I seriously doubt he is gay.

I think they're both wonderful, and my loyalties are divided. Ruben has a wonderful voice and an innocent, unpretentious manner. Clay has a wonderful voice and a boyish, entertaining charm. Last night, Clay pulled out all the stops.

Incidentally, I do suspect that Clay is gay, and I don't see anything wrong with that.

Hey, did anyone else notice this: Whenever Clay is performing, he looks so thin and kind of waifish. Standing next to Ryan last night, though, he's pretty tall and moderately built. Definitely not scrawny.

And, dammit, I won't be home tonight to watch the conclusion so I have to tape it.
