Blogging for Blondes - Issue #437
I swear, it's getting harder and harder to leave a comment around the blogisphere these days. Everyone plays around with their "post", "preview" and "cancel" buttons to where the real meaning is almost unrecognizable to someone with my shade of hair color. Granted, my own comment buttons are a spin on a No Doubt song -- but I think "speak" and "don't" pretty much 'splain it upfront. I can't count the number of times I've went to post a comment lately and picked the wrong choice only to have my comment go "poof!" in a cloud of dust and broken glass. Am I the only one? Seriously, if you're gonna be a cute an unique with your sayings -- make sure the rest of us have read the book first, ok? Thx.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Aww come on, mine are pretty self explanitory, even for a blonde.

I think mine are pretty easy to get. They didn't used to be, but I think they're pretty blonde-friendly. :)

Paranoia. It will destroy ya'. Now I didn't name anyone specific here...

After getting a few emails awhile back I ended up putting the (preview) etc in () to make it easier, but I'm with you ... I thought mine were readable...who knows?

I get annoyed, too, when I cna't figure out which is which. I think my simple terms work just fine.

tee hee, that's why I always do ctrl+a and ctrl+c before I click the button for posting; if I get it wrong, I can try again because my comments in my clipboard ;)

"...*cough*YVONNE*cough..." ;-)

I've done that... bad enough I think the "Reset" button should've been against the law (What is the point of that, anyway? Do you REALLY want everything erased so you have to start over in a form???), but a "close the window" button?

Two words: Aargh!

(Yeah, I'm a blond too)

i'm gonna change my comments to have one button so there is no confusion which one to press... =]

You're so right. I've looked at buttons and thought 'which one am I supposed to press again' countless times.

I am the complete opposite of blond but I have trouble with someone's buttons- she is already mentioned here :).

Someone just needs to make Yvonne another skin, one thats for 'da hood' and the other 'for people of the lighter hair color'. hehe

This happens to me all the time too. Just plain evil. I like that people kind of have them tie in with their site, but straightforward buttons are so, so, so much easier. It would be nice if they could be alt-text'd (Or titled, for us Moz users), so we could at least hover and figure it out. :)

laura, damn that's funny. and jay? tell joelle i needs some skin, why don't ya?

¤ ¤ credit: yvonne | 05.13.03 at 11:24 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

hm. now i'm paranoid. is "set it" or "forget it" too difficult?
