Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

So have we started arresting political disadents. I wonder how long before Arab Americans are offered "interment camps for their own protection" and liberal sympathizes have to wear a yellow L on their clothes.

Look Jake, I live here in Tampa Bay. I've heard the news on this man since the very beginning. I've seen him interviewed more times than I can count. If you've read the press reports, he was arrested for a little more than being a political disadent. (Now his brother, held for ages and never charged, then deported...is quite possibly another story...) But I digress. You've shown in the past here that it's rather pointless for anyone to debate with you anyway.

Sorry for my skepticism but Florida does not inspire confidence to adherence to the democratic principals of constitutional law in other regions of the country as of late.

And states like Illinois have been doing soooo much better? (Which, incidentally, one of the men arrested was located in that state, too...but does that matter?) You do realize this was a federal investigation, right? Right? Sure. I knew you did.

8bit, m'boy, still hung up on the '00 elections? Or do you have other specific instances (with links, if you please) you'd like to bring before the court?

I am looking forward to seeing how this will effect the contract negations that are going at USF right now. since my husband goes to school there AND is a graduate TA this could really impact us.

As for Jakey boy - some people just can't help show how dumb they really are. You have to at least THINK before you post.

Ruthie, he has a long history of talking out of his ass around here...and generally just being one...

Not standing up for Jake here, but I think stations like CNN that give the 10-second recap and make you think you know something about a case are to blame for this. If you watch the so-called "news" stations that is all you ever get. Tends to make one opinionated exactly the way the STATION wants, regardless of what is right or wrong. As someone once said "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing" and our society is being led down that path by the 10-second news bite.

That's why I don't watch tv news. After the internet, it's like eating a twinkie as a substitute for filet mignon.
