The further on the edge, the hotter the intensity
Y'know, I've spent a lot of time over the past few years complaining about the downfall of music with the emergence of bubble gum pop and boy bands, second wave. But something dawned on me earlier tonight. It's all been a big trade-off. Because we haven't really heard from Kenny Loggins in years. Now I gotta cut loose...

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Everybody cut, everybody cut...

I could smack you for putting that song into my head!

He looks so much better with longer hair.

Should I worry that I can connect my wife to Keven Bacon in less than six steps?

(actually, I can't remember how it goes right now, but she was an extra in Parenthood)

Good point. Now if only Bryan Adams would go away.

Always remember the silver lining.... My [not really] favorite song [/not really] is the one with the famous Bad Song Line "highway to the danger zone." Time has mercifully removed the name of the song from my brain. But that line! It remains! Aarrgghh!

We haven't heard from Kenny Loggins in awhile. Is... that... a bad thing?

"Caddyshack"'s been running a lot on USA lately. I love "I'm Alright" with the dancing gopher.

I've also liked his older stuff with Messina, and "Pooh Corner" rocks.

But heaven help me, if I heard "Footloose" or "Playing with the Boys" one more time...

Zippy, you're right about Loggins and Messina. Some of that stuff was great. I guess it's just another case of a good 60s/70s artist that should've stopped when the 80s started. The worst offender there: Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship. (I dunno, by now maybe they're down to just Ship) Is there ANY song worse than "We Built this City"?

Dangerzone rocks!

He released a collection of songs that he sing to his kids with an updated version of Pooh Corner. The CD is cool as heck. If you have kids, it's even better.

Speak of the devils; I was at a con back in Sept, I believe, and late one night I hear some music blaring. I walk into one of the ballrooms, and there's freakin' Jefferson Starship (they've re-attached the Jefferson) playing with dozens of costumed freaks on-stage.

So surreal Dali would've been proud.
