Who you tryin' to get crazy with ese? Don't you know I'm loco?
I've noticed a lot of smack goin' around accusing Tampa Bay fans of being bandwagoners. Well, I thought I'd scan my football card collection for proof. These cards are mine (not my husband's) and all but one of them were purchased pre-1997 season. You will notice that I have not one, but two different 1993 John Lynch rookie cards in all their orange and white glory -- and a rookie baseball card of his as well. I also have 1995 Brooks and Sapp cards from the Creamsicle days. And my pewter power John Lynch card is the season opener 1999 Topps -- several months before the NFC Championship loss to St. Louis.

I'm not denying there are bandwagoner fans out there. And guess what -- the Eagles have them, too. But don't question the longevity of my loyalty to my team. I've been here in good times, and bad. Just as I was with the Sooners in the 90s. And I will continue to support them no matter the outcome on Sunday. I think recent events have shown us there's a little more to life than just football though. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jurevicius family.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Every sports team has bandwaggoners. It's just human nature. I mean who really wants to see a team lose every week?

I don't think for one second anyone could accuse you of being one, Robyn.

I was accused of being one. Then I was told I wasn't a REAL fan since I wasn't 'born a football fan'!

Hmmpfff

Nice cards Robyn...adn your comments in my blog left me smiling! :)

Yeah, and they seem to think their opinion actually matters in the scheme of things, too. Pity it doesn't. ;-)

Yo I think you should know that I grew up in Forest City FL and when I was in about the second or third grade the Bucs were born. My mom promplty got me a bright orange Bucs windbreaker complete with the original logo. It was sweet! I wore that thing until it was mere threads. It took the Bucs awhile to win, but I have been a long time fan of sorts as well, although the Broncos are my team of choice, as you know.

people used to accuse me of being a bandwagon Cowboy fan... like, whatever. i've been a fan since the Dorsett/Staubach years... even thru Johnson's first year (1-15). and they suck now. and i'm still a fan.

i was also a Buc fan ever since their first win, after starting their life 0-26. i haven't been able to follow them too much lately, cuz all we get here is Charger news... but i sure hope to see 'em next week... for the Super Bowl (Qualcomm Stadium is just down the street).

but... i thank gawd that those orange uniforms are gone.
