Posted: 10.14.2002 Dude, you're fired
So I noticed a new Dell commercial earlier this evening without that annoying "Dude, you're getting a Dell" kid. Only they still used the slogan. I wondered aloud if he'd been canned. Then Dick discovered the news. First him. Hopefully next, the company. And soon my life will be complete!
 I pray every day for Dell to fold. And it's not just a macuser thing. I love my IBM thinkpad, and I have a healthy respect for Hewlett-Packard (though I was bleh about compaq, so not sure where I stand now on that.) In one of the little towns, there was a web design company that had a sign that said, "Dude, we just replaced another Dell!" What they replaced it with, I don't know. I can bet that it wasn't another Dell. I would have taken a pic of this, but I was driving, and Mike didn't mention that he had seen it until we were a mile away and there was no place to turn around on that tiny road we were on.
