Not bad at'all
68-0 with 278 yards passing for our QB Nate, who only played 2.5 quarters before we burned the redshirt on a freshman. I think I can deal with that. (I could've done without that 51-minute lightning delay though.) Of course it was against UTEP, but definitely a much-needed confidence boost for the Sooners going into our bye week.

It was an interesting day out in college football land to say the least. Michigan loses to the Irish. Nebraska gets spanked by Penn State. And USC rolled over Colorado. Glad I didn't have any money on the first two games... All this, and the NFL week hasn't even kicked off. Somebody pinch me! No not there. Here.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

hopefully they (Sooners) dont get overconfident.
winning by 68 points, then a bye week. suddenly they think all they have to do is show up. but, they are a great team, so lets see what happens.

I'm not really sure that will be a problem after Tulsa gave 'em all they could handle, and they squeaked by Alabama. This week pretty much showed they can't overlook any game. They finally played as such.

68-0...I didn't know your new coach was Steve Spurrier.

You do realize he was Spurrier's DC, right? He's only his protégé. ;-) But seriously, Stoops said in the post-game that there's no point in burning a red shirt if you're not going to play them to get the experience to go with it.

Hey, I wondered if there was going to be a game. I had to nap, darn meds and side effects, and was woken up at 6pm by a seriously awesome thunderclap. Then I know it rained forever... oh well, guess we played. And guess we won. woohoo!

make that 3-0 psychic beagles with the sooners.
that was an easy one though. Here in Nebraska it is a national day of mourning. They may have to call in the national guard. They are setting up MASH units around town for when the boys come home from getting worked in Happy Valley. Colorado didn't do the Big XII to proud either. Looks like it is the big 2 and the little 10 again (OU and Texas (for now) being the Big 2).

Incidentally, it is scary that Florida actually has entrusted state workers to run a nuclear power plant that you say is closeby your crib. Seeing as to how they have enough trouble running elections and foster care and such. No terrorists needed with that accident just waiting to happen.

I think I would move if I were you.

OOOHHH! What a Saturday! Big Kev continues the sparkling record @ 9-0 versus the spread. (Note: Kevin was a wuss and didn't even consider betting the OU game!)

'grats to Stoopsy & the boys as the FINALLY looked like a top tier team. They really needed this given what lies ahead.

I would give anything to get Stoops' halftime speeches this season on MP3 (Tulsa, 'Bama, & the Miners). I bet he makes Tony Soprano sound like a choir boy.

That reminds me, I have to wish you all a "MERRY BADA-BING"! Season 4 starts tonight!

There *are* days when it sucks to be a Husker fan. But, I'm planning on consoling myself by "Going Soprano" on all the freaking anti-Huskers in the state. Where'd you say you live again Peat??? Between you and Mister Mittens, it could be a busy afternoon.

Good thing we (UGA) let you guys have Hybl. :)

Looks like we've got a quarterback controversy at UGA and a coach that has no concept how to coach a game. All the potential, none of the success.

peat lives in lincoln. not a husker fan though. i like watching Ou, CU, ISU, Mizzu, or anyone else that can punk their sorry asses anytime it happens.

They are lucky that OU is not on the schedule this year and that they have Texas at home. Iowa State might embarrass them though.

Robyn has a lot of respect for NU, and I did to, under Dr. Tom, but under Solich the team is setting records of a whole new variety--futility. They give up almost 400 yards and 60 some points last year at Boulder (where I grew up nearby) and then last night they suffer their worst loss in points in about a million years.

They have issues.

I’m sorry, did you say something Tracy, because I was to busy laughing my fucking ass off to hear you! What’s wrong did your poor little Nebraska Corn Huskers final have to play a ranked team away from the safety of Lincoln? I mean you only lost by 33 points to the lowest ranked team in the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches poll. Hey - I know, maybe Nebraska could try scheduling a game with the University of Hooked On Phonics in Lincoln for this weekend to help pump themselves back up. And before your sticky little fingers start pounding away on that keyboard, I will admit my Wolverines did not play that well Saturday, but at least we played a tight game with the 20th ranked team in the country away from home and we didn’t have to jerk ourselves off by playing three losers at home! So before you open your mouth to talk some shit, you might want to check the stats and you will see that Michigan is the all time most winningest college football team ever and the only major college to win a championship in every major NCAA sport!

Oh yea what happened to the big Nebraska Heisman Trophy winner, Eric Crouch? How do you retire without playing a single game? What a fucking loser, maybe he should have to give back the Heisman Trophy! By the way if you want to see a couple of quality quarterbacks, look no further then:
