NEW YORK (Reuters) -- It's official. Men really are afraid of commitment.

Confirming what women have long known, an American study released on Wednesday shows men are dragging their feet on getting married.

Researchers say one of the biggest reasons that men are delaying marriage is that more and more couples are choosing to live together before marriage. I found this study online yesterday. I just want to mention that this "study" is based on discussions with 60 men from several metropolitan areas. Not what could be reasonably called a sound statistical sample. My rant on this is here. Other research of his proves that people who live together before marriage are more likely to get divorced, sexually abuse their children, or beat their spouse...

I like it when people make grand statements about what they consider to be current day problems. My grandmother told me that it was a wise idea to live together before getting married. Personally I think she gave sound advice, and since when do you have to be living with someone in order to have sex?
