Now it cuts like a knife
File it under "well like, duh!" But think about it. What's a woman going to threaten him with if he knocks her around a little... Why can't he just hook up with Tonya Harding so we can at least get another FOX special out of it or something? (From CNN.com.)

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

"The woman indicated she had been thrown to the ground and sustained a broken tail bone and finger," -- I'm thinking "Help me please police he busted my ass all up!"

So now he's out of the Fox "celeb"-box tonight. I think they ought to let him fight anyway, but instead of fighting another washed up loser, let him go a few rounds with Mike Tyson or someone like that. If there was ever a man who needed a good ass whuppin' it would be this dude.

He actually was scheduled to fight Joey Buttafuoco on May 22nd for Celebrity Boxing II. But now that this has occoured he has dropped out and has been replaced by the woman who was Chyna in the WWF or WWE, or whatever, will take his place. Even $$ on Chyna.

I'm proud to say that I hail from the same town as the original incident (Manassas, VA) and I have personally met Lorena. In high school, I worked at the grocery store where she did her shopping. When I first met my husband I told him he better watch out because she gave me a few pointers! ;-)

There was a time (a long time ago) when I thought that maybe he had suffered enough for his crimes (I read somewhere that the re-attachment surgury didn't take well and he is seriously mis-shaped). Now it's obvious that he will never learn. He needs to be locked up for his own good.

Also, why would anyone go out with him, much less marry him? I wonder the same thing about O.J. Simpson. If someone is a known chronic abuser (or even murderer), aren't you just asking for trouble to get involved?

sure, i'll go along with "well like, duh!"... but what about the wife? how stooooopid does some bitch gotta be to want to marry this guy? i suppose she's still looking to invest in Enron, too!

whoever said "love is strange" knew what they were talking about. when emotions come into play, behavior predictability goes out the window. i juat finished reading a true story about a guy in oregon that makes Bobbitt look like a saint. women kept hanging around with him.
book is "Dead at Sunset" by ann rule if you are interested.

Unless you've been abused, and yes I am speaking from past experience here, you cannot possibly understand the draw of an abuser. They ARE "the perfect man". They are Prince Charming. They are everything you hoped your mate would be.....until they've got you. But where I was strong enough to walk away and move on with my life -- some women are not.

Some women are raised to not expect any better. Some women have a Mother Teresa complex and believe they will be the one person who can change them. And some women just understand so little about how true love works that they just can't see there is another side and it doesn't have to be like that. (And this doesn't even begin to cover the embarassment that goes along with abuse against males by females, and the male being the one too ashamed to walk away for fear of being made fun of by others. Not to mention in the case of Bobbitt and OJ, they are going to have stupid no-brained starfuckers because some people just want the spotlight, even if the lightbulb is a blacklight snapped by a tabloid photographer.)

And even knowing my history and all I went through -- being afraid of even having her in my car because of death-threats I was getting -- years later my sister was abused by another man. And there was NO way for me to warn her to stay away from him. No amount of begging would make her walk away. Hospital trips and ER visits didn't wake her up. Being tasered didn't wake her up. Finding her possessions on the lawn in the middle of the night when it was about to rain didn't wake her up. She always went back to him. The only thing that did wake her up and make her leave for good was time.

So it's really easy to sit on the other side and think "why would anyone date him". But if you were raised to look for "Prince Charming", you do. Only time and experience can one day show you that the real "princes" out there are humans who readily admit their faults, and love you because of your own.

[ /off soapbox ]

I still think he should get a cage-match with Harding given their recent arrests. :-) After all, wasn't that the whole concept behind these stupid matches in the first place -- celebrating their "bad" side?

amen to that robyn -- it's a syndrome, which both the abusers and abusees have, in which they are attracted to one another. plus you just know he played that victim role, like, "oh, my wife was crazy, i never hurt her, she just went nuts on me poor me -- hey! wanna see my scar?"

and you know there are girls, vulnerable girls that would swallow that hook line and sinker, so to speak.

[dirty mind on] I hope you mean swallow the line. [/dirty mind off]

No seriously, I agree 110%!

i'm sorry, it's just something totally beyond my ability to comprehend. i don't take that abusive shit, and there's no fucking way i'd ever dish it out. the concept is totally foreign to me, which is probably why i'll never understand how anyone could ever be attracted to someone like that.
