And in more "I'd be their stylist for FREE if they'd just promise to not leave the house looking like THAT" news...a tale of two Janets...

  1. Janet Reno (apparently the Oscar parties have "Reno Time", too)
  2. Janet Jackson (I think this one may just push her into LaToya status once and for all)
Claire Forlani shows off the many uses for dinner napkins. The Olson twins apparently chose to accessorize with cocktail glasses, spending their evening out past curfew and belly-up to the bar at the Vanity Fair party. Expect that Playboy pictoral in late 2004 when they're finally legal. "Pssst...dude! Gladiator was last year!" And last but not least, any bets this former Spice Girl has had cheek implants? I'm talking about the ones on her face, but it's entirely possible she got a two-fer. (Or would that be four-fer?) what are you talking about? Claire looks hawt. and the Olsen twins? as much as it pains me to say it, they're like, two of the most powerful people in show biz... there's no way a Playboy pictoral would ever come about (well, thank God for that). and Thoth? Gladiator was last year, sure, but maybe he's promoting The Scorpion King now.

Yes, she looked "hawt" -- but not on Oscar night. That's more Vipor Room attire. And I wouldn't be so sure about the Olsons... Yes, they are powerful now -- but it's still cute to be twins. When you get in your mid-20s, dressing alike everywhere you go just makes you freaks. Hugh has been able to lure a lot of "better than that" stars over the years for career revival attempts -- so I certainly wouldn't rule it out! And I know who Thoth is, but that outfit would have went over a lot better at Chippendales than on the red carpet. ;-)

Janet Reno: Look at the shoulders on that outfit! Did she buy it in 1988? Geepers...
Janet Jackson: At least that was at an after party, not the awards show. It still would be good to see her more dressed up.
Claire: I think that's fine for an after party. Did she maybe change out of her awards show attire? Maybe it had to go back to the designer? Maybe she just wanted to look hot for the Vanity Fair party...
Thoth: I tell you, he and Halcyon of CockyBastard would make the perfect team! And to think, they are both in California!
Geri: Her cheeks look like mine, and I don't have implants! (On either end!) At least she has a pretty dress on! (One of the few I saw at the show!)

See that's where I differ -- I don't get this "dressing down" for an after-party. You don't go to a formal wedding or charity awards gala -- watch the ceremony, and then go change into slutty clothing for the reception or after party. Those outfits are for the MTV Awards. But that's just me... I'm a stickler for dressing up -- not down -- to the occasion. Granted several celebs attend these parties that weren't even invited to the Oscars ceremony themselves -- but you still wouldn't attend a wedding reception in clubbing attire when all of the other guests attended the vows and were in black tie. Then again, it's LA. Nevermind... ;-p

I so didn't realize how old the olsen twins were :) sheesh I feel old now. They are pretty cutie patutie though :) even though it is kind of weird to be still dressing alike.
