Inquiring minds wanna know
Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...
Wait, wait, wait.
Where's the 'Other' category?¤ ¤ credit: GeekMan | 08.14.03 at 10:55 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
You know, I almost put one in there just for fun! ;-p¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 08.14.03 at 10:57 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
Yeah, you *think* you'll be finding out the sex...both of ours stubbornly hid their bits until they popped out. Typical.¤ ¤ credit: Sekimori | 08.14.03 at 11:13 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
My second child was girl by the chinese thing, girl by the wives tale, girl by the way it was carried (high=girl, low=boy, I think), girl by the sonogram, and girl on the cigars that I bought an hour befor he was born. I almost named him Sue.¤ ¤ credit: a different Bill | 08.14.03 at 11:52 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
I wanted to vote for "potato" but couldn't find it, so I chose boy instead. Do I win anything if I'm right?¤ ¤ credit: D | 08.14.03 at 12:03 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
*snicker*¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 08.14.03 at 12:04 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Considering what you have been through with this site and the obvious emotional toil it can have, whle I am VERY happy to hear of your news, is it wise to go into the details? The voting? Your site, your say (Obviously) but history is there to teach us...... here's to hoping someone will not hurt you as they did before!¤ ¤ credit: stephen | 08.14.03 at 12:51 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
I don't see the harm in a fun little poll. People can't comment on it. I pre-approve any comments left on the site. I don't want to totally block my life from everyone -- just my private life. I'm not blogging about the details of my pregnancy, but I will share the baby's sex when we know it, because there are a lot of people out there I care about that genuinely want to know for the right reasons. It's a fine line I'm very careful to walk along these days. But thanks for your concern.¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 08.14.03 at 12:54 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Knowing Todd, the baby will come out as some sexless anime character weilding a sword.
However, I had a dream it's a girl, so that about seals it.¤ ¤ credit: michele | 08.14.03 at 01:02 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
I'll happily read and rejoice in whatever you decide to share. :) I hope Baby Tobyn cooperates and lets you see what he/she's got. I'm thinking it'll have to be a girl, though, because a boy would look kinda funny in that hand-me-down tiara. ;)¤ ¤ credit: Hey Lisa | 08.14.03 at 01:08 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Congrats! When do we get to suggest and vote on names?¤ ¤ credit: Kyle | 08.14.03 at 01:14 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
We've already picked out the names -- they're here.¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 08.14.03 at 01:20 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Although I had no idea what I was going to have when I was pregnant, I have *strong* feelings that you're having a little girl. :)¤ ¤ credit: Mariann | 08.14.03 at 01:27 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
It would appear that "girl" is winning by quite a bit... so when does the due date/time pool start? :)¤ ¤ credit: Sunidesus | 08.14.03 at 01:48 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
gotta have pictures of your belly from the side and back for my guess.¤ ¤ credit: tanya | 08.14.03 at 02:16 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
My intuition says girl... ;)¤ ¤ credit: Be | 08.14.03 at 03:50 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Your belly, a string and your wedding ring and I could tell you for sure. I've never been wrong wtih a woman before. EVER.¤ ¤ credit: Jessica Parker | 08.14.03 at 05:34 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
The Chinese chart told me I was having a girl. All other wives tales had me split boy & girl.
I obviously had a little boy. =)
However I was lucky. Michael was not shy during his ultrasounds. But I know many people whose children would not show what they were till they were born. I also know a whole bunch who were told girl & got a big surprise on delivery day when they had boys.
I believe the only 100% sure way is an amnio or if a boy feels like he is in the mood to show off he is all boy. =)
But all that matters is that the baby is healthy. =)
That being said I think you are having a little girl. No real reason why, just a feeling I have.¤ ¤ credit: Lynn | 08.14.03 at 06:02 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
yah...i have a feeling it will be a little girl too - even with my partiality to the name Nathan :)¤ ¤ credit: ruthie | 08.14.03 at 07:26 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Hey...congratulations on the upcoming babyage...:)

I looked at the Chinese Chart (even though I have had my kids...) and was dead on for my Daughter, they were wrong about my son. ;) As for the wives tale... I don't remember much about either pregnancy, except appendix removal on 1st child, and eating dunking sticks with soda every morning with the 2nd. ;)¤ ¤ credit: Susan | 08.14.03 at 10:00 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Holy cats! I'm offline for a week and a half and see what I miss? Congratulations! Hopefully you're feeling that whole second-trimester energy boost where you stop throwing up and don't need to sleep 18 hours a day. First thing that entered my mind: girl. Just a gut feeling.¤ ¤ credit: Laura | 08.14.03 at 10:59 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Congratulations to you both... and I do hope you have a girl, no wait, a boy first, then a girl, so she can have a big brother. (((hugs)))¤ ¤ credit: Aurora | 08.15.03 at 01:28 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
It's a good thing you don;t live in Boston, otherwise Tobyn would not be the best choice for a name. Why? One of the most drived through bridges is called the Tobin Bridge and it is emblazoned on every Bostonian's brain too much for it too work as a baby's name. That being said, congratulations!¤ ¤ credit: R. S. | 08.15.03 at 07:58 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
Been out of the loop for a while and just heard the news. After all you guys went through in the past I just wanted to tell you how happy I am for you. Congrats!¤ ¤ credit: C.C. | 08.15.03 at 08:31 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
Congrats to you both! Wow, fantastic news!! :) I'm sure you will be excellent parents!
We knew that both of our daughters were girls, without ultrasounds, we just knew. The doctors on the other hand predicted boys for each pregnancy and 8 pounders. Neither one of the girls were even 7 pounds.
I stocked up on little girl dresses the day I took the home pregnancy test. My friends thought I was insane. Well, maybe they were right, but I just knew.
Good luck!¤ ¤ credit: Sara | 08.15.03 at 08:39 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
The baby won't be named Tobyn -- that's short for "Todd and Robyn" combined until we know the gender. :-)¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 08.15.03 at 09:44 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
The Chinese chart is bull****. It was wrong on ALL THREE counts! So, opposite is correct. :) After three kids and two of which we didn't know the sex -- there is no accurate way of predicting, but have fun!¤ ¤ credit: meryl | 08.15.03 at 04:20 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
P.S. Are you going to find out early or let it be a surprise? After all... you have the kid's entire life to know the kid's gender. :)¤ ¤ credit: meryl | 08.15.03 at 04:26 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Well, the Chinese chart was right on for us so I'm going to go with Girl. Just out of curiosity, what does your instinct tell you? Dan asked me the night our test came back positive and I had a gut feeling it was a boy. It turned out to be correct. =)¤ ¤ credit: Jenni | 08.20.03 at 10:42 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
I know you already have names picked out but after looking at it awhile, Tobyn isn't bad for a boy's name at all. Hell, I guess it could be a girl's name too.
It's different.¤ ¤ credit: dj mo fo | 08.21.03 at 02:13 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
Congrats to you and your hubby! I haven't been here in a while, so I had no clue. Yay!¤ ¤ credit: kim | 08.24.03 at 03:59 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
