Michele has had a series of blogger "then and now" photos going during the Blogathon -- her theme has been pop culture from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
I just found her the perfect photo. It was taken circa Christmas 1985. Yes, that's me sporting a bitchin' pair of parachute pants with neon-pink zipper inserts. And of course you can't forget the Duran Duran-esque chauffeur's cap and skinny black leather tie. Always a slave to fashion, I am... Man, if I'd known she was doing that I might have tried to dig up a picture of me with my parachute pants, Michael Jackson Beat It red leather zipper jacket, and of course, the "tail" off the back of my head. Hehe.. Cheers, Were you planning on saving "Miracles"? Where are Turbo and Ozone when you need 'em? ¤ ¤ credit: Joelle | 07.27.03 at 08:07 AM | link--this ¤ ¤Who needs church? I've found God right here: fat Oklahoma sooner in parachute pants and a skinny tie. It's all I need. :) ¤ ¤ credit: Zuly | 07.27.03 at 09:22 AM | link--this ¤ ¤I too had parachute pants. Paint splattered pants too. What about the bandanas? I used to tie a red one around my knee and a blue one around the other ankle. That with my yellow t-shirt (with the Michael Jackson iron-on) and red jelly shoes. Those were the days..... ¤ ¤ credit: queen | 07.27.03 at 10:06 AM | link--this ¤ ¤And who'da thunk that that sweet little innocent child would one day grow up to show her boobies on the internet PS Can we have more boobies please? ¤ ¤ credit: Quinn | 07.27.03 at 10:41 AM | link--this ¤ ¤*smack* ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 07.27.03 at 10:52 AM | link--this ¤ ¤Oh...that's so cool...Duran Duran was the first concert I ever went to! In 7th grade mind you, way way back in '83. Ah...memories... ¤ ¤ credit: Kin | 07.27.03 at 12:35 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Look at you!!! That is a great shot -- very retro. lol ;) ¤ ¤ credit: Angel | 07.27.03 at 02:55 PM | link--this ¤ ¤DUDE ... I am not shitting you when I tell you that on a recent trip to Express (like 3 days ago) I SWEAR they had those same pants in there now. There is a total retro not-even punk thing happening in the chain stores. I'm talking skin-tight satin rutched pants everywhere. I half expected to see leg warmers, but I guess they stayed in Japan. Did I fall into the black hole? ¤ ¤ credit: Kitty | 07.27.03 at 11:15 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Awwww. our own lil "Breakin" Kelly :-D hehehe. *Pops and locks* Btw Joelle...
