The royal screw
You have until noon tomorrow to vote for the rings at "Today Throws a Wedding". Normally, my vote would always go to Cartier just because -- but I have to say I'm a little disturbed by their choice of groom's ring. It has little tiny "screws" all over it. Does that imply the groom is getting screwed by putting it on?

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

One would certainly hope he's getting screwed. The consummation is the real fun bit of the wedding day, isn't it?

I had to go for the Stephen Russell set, myself. You're right - the screws are just...wierd.

So Kyle, are you just saying that's a daily reminder of what he's entitled to by putting the ring on? ;-p

i went with the Fred Leighton set. I love pink :)

Personally I like the Stephen Russell set. Aren't thsoe screws on both? So wouldn't they be screwing each other? Or screwed together? I don't know. *shrug*

The screws are part of Cartier's design for years now... but I'll have to agree with Kyle. A gentle reminder that he's getting a lil sumthin' sumthin' every night (hopefully).

Seeing as how NBC is footing the bill, I'd choose the H.Stern pair.

i agree, screwed is good, but i like the Fred Leighton set best. i like the simple gold band -- wish it was a little wider (shaddup already).

First, I'd like to thank all the clearly, non-married folks for commenting. The screws are not there to remind him of what he is getting. Every married guy knows exactly what the screws are there for...it's so your wife can turn them repeatedly for the rest of your life. :) LOL!

I didn't much care for any of them myself. If I "had" to choose one, I think I'd pick the pink one too.

What, Cartier couldn't find the blood-inducing ring from "Beetlejuice"?

Sorry to go off topic but I may have one of those creepy blog stalker-type guys and I want to check if any of you know him. He's from Texas and his name is Darren. His very first email included "Are you single? I am 34, 6'2..." so I got worried right away. He's e-mailed me four times in 2 days even though I've never replied once. The last one he said he just wanted to say "hi" and hope I had a nice day like we're buds or something. Have any of you had trouble with him? Creepy! I'd appreciate any info!

Not much to choose from. I'm going the Stephen Russell too, although I'm not keen on the edge of the man's ring.

We saw those "screw"" rings when we were shopping for my engagement ring. They were mostly in the titanium bands. I guess cause the material is sort of industrial someone thought a screw would be a nice decorative touch. I'm not sure for *who*, exactly, but there you have it...

I guess I am trashy, but I love the H. Stern set.
