High crimes and misdemeanors
If one asks in the mainstream media, more are sure to follow... I'll take Altoid blowjobs and the definition of "is", thankyouverymuch.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

AND...John Dean was Nixon's advisor through his term...so if he is speaking out about impeachment I think that leads a lot of weight to the whole issue.

Robyn -- Thanks for this link. I completely agree.

People can try to argue ethics with me all they want (and shocking to some, I even wrote our Congressman at the time to please investigate the Starr report for possible articles of impeachment). But not too many innocent 18 and 19-year old lives were lost in the pursuit of a blowjob...

sadly, you know he'll be re-elected.

and i think it's funny how the GOP will bitch about a guy who cheats on his wife, but they're all for sending our boys into a war... for profit.

I wouldn't place that re-election bet just yet. We've got a year's worth of campaigning (and investigations) to go...

After hearing all the reported atrocities committed by the Baath regime in Iraq, I'll never be anything but glad we went in and removed them from power. I believe the improved condition of Iraq will lead to a domino effect in the region that will eventually improve the stability of peace and freedom in the entire world. I would like to think that GWB could have gotten before the American people and just said Saddam was a bad man and needed ousted, and we would have given him the support to do it. Sadly, I don't think he could have made that sale though.

If it turns out that he lied to sell the American public and Congress on this war, I think he needs to step down. I think he can be proud that the end result of his transgression was good, but even though the end might justify the means, if the means was illegal then you have to be willing to pay the price for using them.

Robyn, I *LOVE* that you have a quote of Charlotte Perkins Gillman on the top of your page!

i am glad for your post, because i don't go to cnn anymore and would have missed it.

in the interest of disclosure, i think that sanctions were a bad idea and am glad that we are not running two no-fly zones anymore. i am also glad that these butchers are out of power, it will help us change the rest of the butchers of the world. finally, i am glad that our troops are out of saudi, cuz that place sucks.

i think that there is one piece of the analysis that is missing in this piece. it centers on intent. if the president intended to deceive, then he should be in trouble and congress should spank him. even if it turned out that there were wmd, but he deliberately misstated the case, then that would be bad. on the other hand, if he thought it were true, but was wrong and says so, then leave it until the next election. we will all get a chance to decide if we want to keep a guy in charge who is so gullible.

" We have to defend our future from these predators of the 21st century. They feed on the free flow of information and technology. They actually take advantage of the freer movement of people, information and ideas.

And they will be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen.

There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein's Iraq. His regime threatens the safety of his people, the stability of his region and the security of all the rest of us."

Bill Clinton, 1998
