Think I'm gonna need a bigger tiara

I just added a new skin that's a twist on my default summer skin -- this one curtsies to Princess Grace of Monaco. Go to the skins page to select this one, or if you'd just like to change the one you're currently using.

UPDATE: I'm still receiving well-meaning e-mails letting me know the site is broken. It's not. Please read this old entry for a better explanation, and how to fix it.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

And if you act now...you just might catch the typo before I correct it! ;-P

UPDATE: You snoozed, you losed -- all fixed!

Thanks everyone! Here's an alternate image I lasso'ed out and polished up a bit, but didn't end up going with if anyone wants it:

If you'd like it on a transparent background, just let me know!

I'm not really quite sure who Princess Grace is (I'm horrible at that kind of stuff), but I dig it just for the tag line. Classic. :)

She was Hollywood silver screen actress Grace Kelly (in a few Hitchcock films) and she married Prince Rainier of Monaco to become Princess Grace of Monaco. She died in an automobile accident in 1982.

Very nice work! What's the font that you use on the Ain't too proud to blog title? I really dig it!

I finally remember what I did to get rid of all the "your site is broken" e-mails - I made copies of the default skin and named them with the numbers of the skins I had pulled. So header1 was also header7, header9, header12 - you get the picture. Hope that helps!

Depending on what code you're using to skin, you can also set the default skin with php (so you don't have to duplicate files). Something like:

if ($skin == 7) $newskin = 1;
if ($skin == 8) $newskin = 1;
etc.

THAT is what I was looking for and no one could help me! Do you know if it will work with domesticat.net's skinning code? Thank you!!!

You emailed me about that, but because I enjoy being redundant, I'll put it here too.. :)

I just took a look at domesticat's code and it looks like it should work fine.

For each deleted skin, just put in a line that looks like this:

if ($skin == 7) $newskin = $default_skin;

Put that before the $skin=$newskin; line and it should work fine.

There's actually an easier way to do it using arrays, but it's more difficult to explain, so I won't go into it. This should be just as effective.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU one more time!
