Ok, here's the unofficial ATPTB "American Idol" poll -- who wins tonight? I'll hide the results once the real winner is announced so it won't spoil anything for the West Coasters. But this is your warning -- if you aren't watching the show live -- read the comments with caution!
(results closed) Clay is probably going to win, but I think Ruben should be the winner. ¤ ¤ credit: Julie | 05.21.03 at 07:35 PM | link--this ¤ ¤To be honest, that's what we both think, too. Of course, we also thought that Kimberley was a certain finalist...so tells you what we know... ;-) ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 05.21.03 at 07:43 PM | link--this ¤ ¤I still think it's Clay! But, I also think Kimberley should have been in the finals with him. ¤ ¤ credit: Chris B | 05.21.03 at 08:21 PM | link--this ¤ ¤sweet jesus. are you watching THIS?!!? ¤ ¤ credit: Joelle | 05.21.03 at 08:22 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Okay... 24 minutes in... and we've yet to hear the finalist sing something... ¤ ¤ credit: Chris B | 05.21.03 at 08:24 PM | link--this ¤ ¤oh god. One Voice. It was...excrutiating. Am I wrong? ¤ ¤ credit: Joelle | 05.21.03 at 08:35 PM | link--this ¤ ¤i so WANT ruben to win...but i am thinking it is going to be clay...but praying (as much as an agnostic does) that is' rueb. and yes, i think kimberly should have been in the finals. definitely. ¤ ¤ credit: lor | 05.21.03 at 08:40 PM | link--this ¤ ¤No -- crap -- we had to go to the sto' and get dinner so we're catching the second half. What happened???? ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 05.21.03 at 08:56 PM | link--this ¤ ¤omg, rob. it's so bad. it's just...gah! first off, Kelly was so off-key, I wanted to pry my ears off with a fork. Then they had that ridiculous "group thing", which was like watching Up with People, if you remember them. It looked like a high school air band or something. Oy. ¤ ¤ credit: Joelle | 05.21.03 at 09:11 PM | link--this ¤ ¤We caught the group performance! It's so funny you say that, b/c I turned to Todd and said, "Oh my god. It's junior high show choir all over again!" ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 05.21.03 at 09:29 PM | link--this ¤ ¤I'm voting for the brotha. Showtunes Boy will get picked up by Broadway soon enough. I had to turn it off when I realized it was two hours of that torture. Line of the night: "I can't believe people actually watch this..." ¤ ¤ credit: KB | 05.21.03 at 09:33 PM | link--this ¤ ¤WTF? This is the very first night I have tuned in and, I have to say, this Democratic National Convention-meets-This Is Your Life crowd humping is making me want to put a bullet in Dangit, turn the STRIKE tag back on... :) ¤ ¤ credit: Sekimori | 05.21.03 at 09:43 PM | link--this ¤ ¤I never turned it off...sigh... ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 05.21.03 at 09:44 PM | link--this ¤ ¤It was the hanging chads again! Darn Florida voters! ¤ ¤ credit: Chris B | 05.21.03 at 09:50 PM | link--this ¤ ¤YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 05.21.03 at 09:50 PM | link--this ¤ ¤NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ¤ ¤ credit: michele | 05.21.03 at 09:53 PM | link--this ¤ ¤WOOHOO! (and i literally shouted that on the results) ¤ ¤ credit: lor | 05.21.03 at 09:53 PM | link--this ¤ ¤The thrill of victory... the agony of defeat. And two hours of my life sucked away so I could hear the same songs over and over. Christ, I sound like Sekimori. :) ¤ ¤ credit: Zuly | 05.21.03 at 10:02 PM | link--this ¤ ¤ok..i dont watch. i didn't watch. who won? ¤ ¤ credit: Ruthie | 05.21.03 at 10:25 PM | link--this ¤ ¤This is so funny man. I am glad about the winner, but then there's that part of me that says, who cares? I didn't watch it because I couldn't tear myself away from other things that had my attention on lockdown but I did have it on in the other room so I got to HEAR the whole entire fiasco. Cripes that show took such a long time to get to the point. Kelly Clarkson: not floating my boat with little miss independence. Gagarella. ¤ ¤ credit: Maria | 05.21.03 at 11:00 PM | link--this ¤ ¤I must be the only one on the planet who thinks a Clay is better than Reuben. ::::ducking:::: I was thinking Reuben would be the one left to get a contract while Clay went on with the money. Heheheh, shows what I know. Clay just looked like a natural singer, where Reuben sounds good but he has a ... forced, stunted appearance. Oh, well, I'm known for tuning in on the last night of a show and forming unpopular opinions based on that one nights' viewing. ;) But on one thing I definitely agree - the One Voice song sucked horribly. Our all-school choir (yup, there it is) performed that song better my freshman year! Sheesh. It was painful. ¤ ¤ credit: Hey Lisa | 05.22.03 at 10:00 AM | link--this ¤ ¤I was rooting for both of them, so it didn't really matter to me who won. I suspected Clay would win because he really pulled out all the stops Tuesday night. But Ruben is great too. They're so different, and they'll both be ¤ ¤ credit: sunshine | 05.22.03 at 10:04 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
