Vital Idol
American Idol thoughts tonight? Comments? General snarking?

C'mon -- it's ok to admit it. We won't tell anyone you're watching the show. And I totally caught that Clay blew the words to his first song before the judges even made mention of it...and I'd never heard the song before...

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Ok, how the hell did my daughter know that Clay would sing Unchained Melody?

Here's my snarking:

Paula, the cartoon cat from your "Opposites Attract" video called. He wants his hat back.

If Randy asks another person 'what's going on', while they're up on stage performing, I'm gonna lose it.

I officially hate Clay Aiken, and I'm not afraid to admit it anymore. It took me all season to work up the courage, but I am embracing the hatred.

Ok, I've retracted my claws now. Thanks for the opportunity to be catty. :)

Ok, but did that song suck or what? And the Unchained Melody was a bit...uh...I don't know. He went totally musical theater. I had to hide my head at one point because I was so ashamed for him. Jazz hands, honey. Check that.

I'm wishing for Kimberly to win because really I'm tired of Ruben and Clay...they always sound the same.

Clay, he's the one that Kimberly has to beat, but he is the front-runner.

Reuben was flat on his last two songs and really can't sing anything other than a "slow-jam." He's out this week.

I can't swear by it, but I do remember hearing Clay on the radio last week, and I *think* he was singing Unchained Melody at that time. If it was that song, he was better on the radio, but he wasn't aweful tonight either.

I think it's Kimberly and Clay for next week.

Meredith, that hat was so, so bad -- good call!

'Tis a shame... No one really has the oomph this competition that Kelly and Justin did last year. And we didn't watch AI until the final four shows in 2002.

i haven't seen it yet. </eyes closed>

I keep forgetting you left-coasters are behind. I just put the extended entry in "read more" -- sorry about that!

I dunno....none of them really had me tonight. I was really looking forward to tonights show but found myself in a state of total smegging un-grippedness. </red dwarf mode>

You want snarky? Tell me why a man smiles through a breakup song and then grimaces through a song called 'Smile'? He might be able to sing, but he's not a long-term star.

I have more to say, but I shouldn't hijack your comments, so I'll just trackback to you.

I thought tonight's show was actually really good! LOL Ok, so I'm a dork! ;) No, really...I can't STAND Ruben and I think I'm going to lose it if I have to hear him sing his slow jazz Barry White shit again! If he wins, I'm boycotting! LOL

I thought Kimberley was definitely best tonight! I'm hoping for Clay and Kimberley for next week...we shall see!

Our conspiracy theory is that Kimberley has to make it tomorrow night, because for ratings they need a guy/girl final.

I don't watch this show religiously but I caught Clay's performance while I was in the video store. He totally sucked ass. But from what I hear it seems like he'll probably be the winner even though many people think Reuben deserves it. Even Simon said it on The Tonight Show Monday night .

Clay's performance of "Vincent" definitely sucked ass. But he actually did a hell of a job with "Unchained Melody", which is one of the hardest songs in the world to sing. (sage wisdom: never get sloppy drunk and sing Unchained Melody at a karoake bar if you're trying to impress a date. trust me on this one.)

My money's on Rueben, but I'm not overly impressed with any of them.

Quite honestly, Kimberly is the most talented singer, but I so desperately want to see Ruben win. He is just so hugalicious. That is a lot of man to love!

i found your site when entering a query for "i hate clay aiken" in google. i hate him too. he's ugly and he comes off as an asshole. oh, and i hate him.

the end.

I must add my $.02. I absolutely despise Clay Aiken. He is pompous, arrogant, untalented, and definitely not attractive - not to mention, he does not know when to shut up. In a recent interview he was still trying to "win" against Ruben. All I have to say is...get over it buddy -you lost. Now, make your stupid remake albums and leave well enough alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

¤ ¤ credit: i despise clay!! | 10.11.03 at 11:07 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

clay aiken is the worst thing to happen to music in the history of forever. he doesnt write his own music, he doesn't dance, he doesn't play an instrument. so what does he do? why, he sucks at singing! he also needs to lighten up on the makeup. all of that foundation makes me want to barf. so much so, that i actuallygag when i see him. how could ANYONE think, "wow, clay aiken is so sexy i could do him any time of day." ugh now i have myself thinking about it.
