Kick Glick
kickglick.jpg Loved him in "¡Three Amigos!".

"I think it's a male plane...didn't you notice its little balls?"

Semi-annoying in "Father of the Bride", but he made the part his own. It worked. And I can't forget Ed Grimley, I must say.

But oh. My. God. When are the big name stars going to quit sucking up to and legitimizing his Jiminy Glick character? Do they fear telling him "no"? The Glick skits were crap on the canceled-for-a-reason Martin Short Show. It's crap on Comedy Central. Oh, so you put on a fat suit. It makes your IQ drop. You make fat jokes. I get it. Har har. Funny. Har har. Does anyone out there actually find the show funny? I mean, seriously...

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

i find glick funny every now and then - i'll stay for a couple of minutes and watch if i'm passing through. i've never really liked him in movies though. plus, he'll always be ed grimley to me.

Can't stand it. It's a shame, because I used to love Marty Short (Ned). This show ruined him for me, though. Tsk tsk tsk. He's as doomed as doomed can be, you know.

Ah yes, I agree. But he was so good on "Saturday Night Live"!

I have seen it once or twice down here and he is shit

It has it's moments. I have seen some really funny epsiodes (haven't seen the new sesion though), but some have been a waste of time. I do think it's a good character because I don't think of Martin Short when I'm watching it, I think of Glick.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who finds that show very unfunny. I tried watching it, but...it's just not funny.

For me, watching anything with Martin Short is like pulling out my fingernails. It is simply painful to watch. The first time I saw Glick was my last. UGH!

I really think it has to do with the guest he is interviewing. If it's a "star" that he can make fun of, then it can be a really funny show. If he is interviewing someone who is being a pain in the ass, then he does the same 'drop out of the chair', 'choke on the food he has on the set', 'yada, yada'.

It's funny....I was just telling Shawn last night how much I absolutely despised this character. We had Extra on in the background while playing cards with some friends and there was a section with Glick in it. It has to be the stupidest character he has ever come up with!

honestly, everytime i see him - i am like what's the point? where's the punchline? i don't get it. my hubby and i were just talking bout this - it's just not funny at all.

I'll play the salmon and swim up stream on this one: I love Glick.

Maybe it's because I've sat in on those fawning PR movie star junkets and seen these TV interviewers turn bitch for the actors and actresses with a submission that is almost obscene, but the Glick character nails the insipidness to a T.

Amen sister! kill, kill!!!! bwuhahahahahahaha!

Yeah, apparently that's why big stars like to come on the show--Glick is a total satire of clueless press junket interviewers and insipid talk show hosts. So his stupidity and rudeness might be hilarious to Tom Hanks and Jerry Seinfeld, but for the viewing audience--barf.

As bad as Glick may be, he's still better than Colin Quinn's daily shouting match. :)

I really dislike the show.. I tried watching it one time, but just couldn't bring myself to endure torture for too long.. but it's almost good in a way. Shows such as this motivate me into turning off the tv and doing something more interesting (like blogging? err nevermind)

I loved Martin Short through the 1970s and 1980s though. True shame to see him resort to this. Just as sad as seeing Steve Martin in "Bringing Down the House" or seeing Eddie Murphy in "Daddy Day Care" (ok I haven't seen it, but from the looks of the previews, I don't think I want to).
