Inquiring minds wanna know
I just realized we missed the season finale of NBC's "Ed" last Friday. Did anyone else out there catch it? I just want to know if it was another lame "will he choose Carol / will Carol choose him" kinda deal that you have to wait 'til next season for, or if they actually didn't leave you hanging for a change. Any summaries appreciated!

UPDATE: Forgot to mention... What in the hell is with all the season finales in April this year, anyway? First they push back the start of the season to mid-October on most shows. Now they try to wrap them up by mid-April. Do they think we also don't notice that most TV shows are 5-10% shorter with more commercials packed in as well? It wasn't always this way!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

I have it on the TiVo if you want to see it or I can still summarize. Let me know. :)

Yes, it was a pick Frankie/Carol episode. He went back and forth and picked Carol at the end, on the little bench where they sat on the very first episode. I read in USA today that Ed has not been renewed by the network. I got the impression that this episode was a hastily thrown together series finale. Kinda disappointing, really. It's one of my favorite shows.

Nah. I really just wanna know if/who he chose. Thanks for offering though! :-)

I wonder if it will get picked up by another network... It was great the first season, but seriously lacked in the last couple. Thanks for the spoiler!

And they get paid more for doing less work. Pathetic.

Yeah thank god he finally decided! Phew... he and Carol look cute together. I like the show because I can relate to what Ed goes through, i sure hope it gets picked up.

I think it's over now, And that may not be an altogether bad thing: shows based on romantic tension between the two main characters always suck after they finally put them together (think Moonlighting and Who's the Boss).

Who's The Boss didn't suck before?

Right on, dave. That's what I was thinking. So, of course, it was a brilliant thought.

Robyn, c'mon, the guy got a new computer. Can't he spring for a Tivo for ya?! ;)

Yeah...he had to choose between Frankie and Carol. Of course he chose Carol in the end even though before the last commercial he said he was choosing Frankie. Anyway, I read that the season finale was being treated as the series finale since the show hasn't been renewed yet. If it is renewed (and the finale did do well in the ratings), I'm sure the first episode will be their happiness and then all the rest will be about the difficulties they face.

I noticed that season finales were coming up soon as well. I too want to know why the hell they think they can cut off the season so soon, and start so late. And throw weeks worth of re-runs in on top of it. TV sucks.

No help here, sorry, stopped watching that one awhile back...

Yep that was the season/series finale. They did a Sports Night type thing and made a season finale that would work as a series ender as well. The show's ratings have been suffering lately, because of American Idol of all things! That's why it was moved to Friday to try to pick up some points.

Guess it didn't work. Shame, I liked it.

I'm STILL mourning Sports Night. All the good shows get canned.

Amen to that Dave! I LOVED Sports Night. It's just nice to see Peter Krause(Sports Nights-Dan) get another good roll (Six Feet Under).
