Comments like this are exactly why I never talk sports smack pre-game in other people's blogs, or make predictions on where my Sooners will end up. Sorry 'bout the Wildcats loss, Ashley! Now I just hope the Jayhawks can represent for the Big XII and take care of the other Wildcat team this evening...
UPDATE: Two number one seeds went down today. How 'bout the Big XII representin'?! Being from Iowa, I have to root for Kansas. Two starters from the Hawkeye state: Nick Collison (from Iowa Falls) and Kirk Hinrich (from Sioux City). Of course if I had any basketball ability and wanted to go pro I certainly wouldn't go to college in Iowa. (Just ask Raef LaFrentz). ¤ ¤ credit: BillH | 03.29.03 at 10:25 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Heh. Thanks. ¤ ¤ credit: Ashley | 03.30.03 at 11:41 AM | link--this ¤ ¤You know what the true hell of it is? I'm not a huge UK fan. I'm more a follower of my wife's alma mater Western Kentucky than I am UK. (There was no living w/ her last year when Western beat UK in the season opener). But I got caught up in the Blue Fever that was sweeping the state and egged on by a streak of 26 in a row. *sigh* In retrospect I suppose I should have considered the fact that UK would pull a huge UNLVon me before I spoke. (Anyone not getting that reference, please feel free to email me.) Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and finish my bowl of crow. :) (Besides...when it comes to sports predictions, what'd you expect from me. I'm a Bengals fan for Goddess sake! That should sum it up right there for ya'.) ¤ ¤ credit: Bryce | 03.30.03 at 12:58 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Don't get too down, Bryce. With the way #1 seeds are doing this tourney, I just may be joinin' you in a chorus of the blues later this afternoon! ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 03.30.03 at 02:27 PM | link--this ¤ ¤
