My hunka, hunka Sooner love
[click for popup of OU QB Jason White] Even if for a brief, shining moment...it's time to talk OU football again! Spring practice kicked off Monday in Norman. And good news -- OU QB Jason White is expected to be cleared for all drills by late this week. You may or may not remember that Jason had his season ended in 2001 when he blew out his left knee in the Nebraska game, only to have his 2002 season ended by blowing out his right knee in the Alabama game. That's not to say that Jason will win the starting job. But as someone who's given his heart, soul and two knees to OU football -- I'm cheering him on with all I've got! Only

And in somewhat depressing Sooner news, there's been an update on the status of Josh Heupel and the NFL Europe Barcelona Dragons. He's been released due to lingering wrist injury.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Ouch! As I read about White, I couldn't help but think of injury-prone Chris Chandler.

I recognize what it is like for an athlete to give up so much for his or her college carreer. Look @ Majestic Mapp (yes that's his real name and he does have a brother named Scientific) and the two knees he's given up for UVA basketball.

dude, how the hell did you guys blow that huge lead against Tejas? that probably cost you a #1 seed in the tourney...

sorry, but screw football for now. it's time for March Madness!

I'm working in Norman this week - tons of Sooner Spirit all over the place!

So what's the story? Isn't that Other State University closer to Ponca City? :-))

Mikey, football always comes first. Even if it's just spring practice... Besides, we'll get another shot at the 'whorns when it counts in the Big XII tourney hopefully.

Don, yes it is. And I'm the only member of my family to attend OU. I always was the "smart one". ;-)

Good thing he's only got two knees. I can only imagine the pain if he blows out the third knee...

Not to make you green with envy or anything, but I found out I've been "grandfathered" and will now always get OU/TX football tickets. Made the husband's day that's for sure. Boomer Sooner!

you know, if the nfl europe paid more, and he didnt have to take that second job as a phonesex operator, none of this wrist injury business wouldve happened. it's a shame, i tell ya. just a shame.

I'm with you Robyn I hope he finally gets his shot at leading the team he has given his all to. My 4 year old son wears #18 with pride, I hope it still fits next year when we are kickin some burnt orange butt!!!

BOOMER SOONER BABY!!

ok back to the hardwood...

I was going to take a detour into [BeavisMode] for that one, Meridith, but it was just too damn easy.

I agree with Mikey, we've got a team that is more than capable of going to the Final Four again, but can't hold a lead. Losing to the whorns at home is not as bad as that travesty in stillwater last year, but it was a sickening loss.

At least White has only two knees to blow out, hopefully he can finish this season!
