Posted: 03.04.2003 You're the margarine of evil ![[Happy Mardi Gras]](http://www.tampatantrum.com/ispy/beads.jpg) I hate it when I lose something I really want on eBay -- but man it feels good to start the day by going in and sniping someone in the last 15 seconds for something you've watched for over a week (and kept getting outbid so you gave up to wait for the kill instead)! Yeah, I'm evil like that. And it's mine now.Happy Fat Tuesday everyone! Make sure to watch the live webcams down in N'awlins! Laissez les bon temps rouléz...  I'm a big cheater when it comes to Ebay. I used a eBay tracking / sniping software program awhile back called "The Oracle", but it crapped out during a very important auction and I lost it (literally and figuratively). I'd encourage you to go if you get the chance. I went several years in a row during college and grad school. But once you've done it a few times it quickly loses its appeal. Of course, it could also be age, and the fact that I don't drink much any more, and that my tolerance for throngs of drunk people behaving like complete imbeciles has decreased significantly now that I'm not one of them :) My favorite Mardi Gras story: It can be unbelievably hard to find a place to go to the bathroom at Mardi Gras. Once, while operating in highly intoxicated fratboy mode, I got arrested for wizzing in the mail slot in the door of a bank. Apparently there was a security guard on the other side. Only time in my life I've ever been cuffed.
