I'm just a girl - guess I'm some kind of freak
Feeling like a whiter shade of pale right now? I know I am... Well sunless.com has a list of the ten best drugstore self-tanners. They also have a list of the ones to avoid -- surprisingly enough names like Estee Lauder and Lancome made that list. You can find more reviews, and how to choose, here.

And why stop with self-tanner when you're in the health and beauty section? Make-Up Diva can help you answer questions like "how to get rid of dark circles" and "how to get rid of under-eye bags". And unfortunately something I'm going to have to start dealing with since hitting the big 3-0 -- "are cheap eye creams as good as department store ones". Don't forget to sign up for the handy-dandy weekly newsletter, too.

Last but not least, one of my favorite sites out there is Cosmetic Connection. They have excellent product reviews by brand (a few of my favorites are Stila, Aveda, Origins, BeneFit, and MAC) -- including drugstore lines. I found the mascara report (part 1, part 2) really helpful. I have friends that would like the "Rosacea 101 Guide". And they also have a great weekly newsletter as well.

What? I had to counter-act all of the football talk somehow...

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

've tried a few self taners, but no matter which one I use I always land up with these loverly orange streaks. just call me a white tigger ;D

I read an article not too long ago in Discover that going to a tanning salong for no more than twice a week for 3 to 7 minutes a visit is actually healthy for your skin.

This amount of UV exposure is the amount that the skin actually craves from the sun, and in a controlled state you can give yourself a gradual tan throughout the winter by keeping up with it.

Strange, but I'm so white right now, I just might do it.

I've got red hair and white skin. Sunless tanners make me orange. No thanks, I'll go for the Goth look first! *lol* ;o)

Some of us don't have tanning problems. If I go out to get some sun I get golden like a french fry. Tanners? NEVER!

I personally use the Coppertone Oil Free Effortless Color Sunless Tanning Lotion in Light/Medium and have been extremely happy with it. However, to pull off a convincing fake tan, you have to be willing to commit to reapplication every other day. I usually do my face, neck, and top of chest since it's winter.

I loved the mascara report. I bought Maybelline's Lash Discovery and I am loving that little brush. It gets every little lash. I was disapointed to see Lancome's Flash Bronzer Self-Tan for face get dissed. I use it all the time and it works great for me. BTW I read you all the time and you work great for me too. :)

You can't beat a good St Tropez tan.
