Fire the canons!
brrrrr.jpg

You damn Yanks can say all you want about the Bucs and our so-called "cold weather curse", but this weekend it wouldn't matter if Sunday's kick-off took place in Ray-J or The Vet. It's cold. Damn cold. In the state of Florida. Yep, we're hitting the freezing mark this weekend, and the windchill coming in off the Gulf is almost unbearable. I don't want to hear anyone whining about their current temp of -12° either. You know and I know that 32° in Florida isn't s'posed to happen. So laugh now, but you won't be laughing when it comes time to pay $12 for a gallon of OJ in a couple of months.

I don't know what's going to go down Sunday. Especially with Philly blanketed in snow right now... If you think that you do though, you haven't been watching the NFL all that long. Any. Given. Sunday. And god knows I've taken enough shit over it already -- so seriously, there's no need for more here. Take it over there. You aren't going to tell me anything I, and every other Bucs fan on the planet, haven't heard 100 times already this week. I swear, you're not that original. No really. If you honestly think I'm going to suddenly turn tail and dislike my team just because in your infinite wisdom you've been able to compile a few stats and analyze them, well then you don't know the meaning of a true fan. It may be that way in your town, but it's not in mine. I've been here since the Creamsicle days in the Big Sombrero. And I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Bandwagoner my ass. Hell, I didn't even like the Eagles when I lived in Philly. Why would that change now?

It's like I said over at Jen's earlier today -- Chucky doesn't have us believing in one season. He has us believing in our team. And if that means we've gotta believe in seven more months instead, well I can think of a much worse fate. Like, oh say, the next 225 days of golf and NASCAR. Bring. It. On.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

It is getting cold in Tampa, isn't it? I actually had to put on a sweatshirt today...omigod *gasp!*

Sound the canons, baby, because the Bucs are going to kick some royal snow-bootie, come rain, shine, blizzard, or typhoon. I believe in our team, I don't care who laughs at me! My husband and I are going to glued, and I mean SUPER-glued, to the television come Sunday. Coolers by the couch so we don't have to get up (it's bad luck, you know). The only problem is having to go to the bathroom...hmm...Depends are on sale this week at Publix...

I'm feeling ya!

Did you see Bob Hite live from Philly on tonight's news? I swear to god he was punch-drunk -- it was so funny! "Who cares about the snow? It's just sand with a little chill! We're all ready -- bring it on!"

Whine...snivel...-20. whine.

Actually, my blog more appropriately states my feelings on the matter....

Wow! I was just kidding yesterday about the seconds counting down on the Bucs season. I can appreciate someone digging their team all the way (and not in the way some Eagles fans do! yes, they can be the worst behaved fans in the world)I actually do believe the Bucs have a good shot because 1)they are way overdue and 2)the Eagles haven't looked that good on offense lately. Anyway, I apologize if my comments were taken as mean spirited. I enjoy your blog!

By the way, it may be 32 down there but words can't explain how cold it is here. Just going outside to get the paper is hell. The wind makes it feel like 10 below.

Glad to finally see the Bucs where they are.

And it's frigging freezing down here Mr. Bigglesworth. I was planning a little Saturday night Bar-B-Q/Party for the Stones concert on HBO and it looks like it's gonna be an indoor thingee now....

Stupid Weather...Screw it, where are my golf clubs?

Sweaters, sweaters....do I own a sweater? Yes. It currently is being used by my cat for a bed.

I do have a sweatshirt! Sweatshirts are good, no?

Believe it or not, I literally wore shorts and a tank top on Christmas Day. So sad.

If it's any consolation, I still hope the Bucs beat the pants off them! LOL I'm not really a fan (we like the Cowboys...yeah, yeah...I know! LOL...but a fan is a fan, eh?), but I like the Eagles EVEN LESS! Anyway, damn it's getting pretty cold down there, eh....sheesh, that's not s'pose to happen, the weather is so wonky anymore. And...*ahem*...I LIKE NASCAR! ;) LOL

I want to see Al Davis proved horribly stupid yet again, when Chucky and the Bucs ride into San Diego and punk the Raiders AHHHHHHHSSS.

First Davis gave up on Shanahan (two superbowls with Broncos) and now Gruden.

Sure, Philly is a big task, but if the Bucs can win there, beating the Raiduhs/Faders on a neutral site should be cake.

And oh so much fun!!

I'm a King fan, too -- don't know what happened when he got his shot earlier in the season. I think he's going to be another one of those TB QB's that goes elsewhere and does fab!

I am SO nervous about Sunday. Everyone is calling for the Eagles to win, but anyone that knows the Eagles knows they'll screw it up at the last minute. The Bucs may be due, but so are the Eagles. I just hope it's not an ugly game (like the Giants v. 49ers).
