Squirrel!

[squirrel!] Claire had the misfortune of living in an apartment for the first five years of her life. But she likes to make up for lost time by chasing squirrels all over the back yard.

She tree'ed another one today and I was able to snap a few photos of the after party. They taunt her as much as she taunts them. In fact, I could swear I heard it whispering, "Pssst...third fence post to the left. Tomorrow. 4 o'clock. Bring your stuff, bitch.", as we walked off.

Five new photos of Claire's most recent victory are up at Shutterblog now.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

You should see the fat little beasts that beg for scraps at UCF. I had to give one half my coffee cake before it would leave me alone! Oh, all right -- I only gave it a few crumbs. My apartment complex also has a lot of squirrels. My cat is an indoor cat; the squirrels love to taunt her.

we used to send our boxer into a frenzy with a shout of the word "squirel!" she would tear into the backyard and damn near claw up the tree to catch them. never did manage it though.

really do think it was a game for both of them. we had another boxer who was devastated after catching (and killing) a lizard it had chased for three years in our back yard in arizona.

Hehe, the squirrels won't even go near my backyard anymore - not with the two wild dogs we set loose there from time to time. ;) Very cute pictures - did you use the digital zoom to get that close to the squirrel or were you close enough to just use the optical zoom? :)

We have a toy fox terrier and a wiener dog. Both dogs go tearing out of the back door already barking before they even hit the porch........looking for cats and squirrels. One day when they dashed out the door, my wiener dog caught the squirrel!!! The squirrel had turned right, when he should have turned left, and when he turned left, he turned right into My Floppy Wiener!!!

Well, Wiener was so happy he didn't know what to do with the squirrel so he put it down so he could bark happily at it! Of course when he put it down, the squirrel took off, and both dogs stood there with the funniest look on their faces, like "I caught one! Did you see that? I caught one!" "Yeah, but stupid dog, don't put it down once you catch it!!!" " Yeah, damn I lost it"

ok..ive got a question about the entry itself. how do you get the picture in there with the text next to it? I know how to upload the pics, but MT always puts it on it's own line. how do you get the text to be NEXT to the picture like that?

Ste, I had to use digital zoom. :-) Ruthie, put an ALIGN=LEFT (or right) tag in.
