Play fo' the doh - stay for the show
So I'm burning one of these right now -- a Coconut Cake tart warmer from Yankee Candle. Thing is, it doesn't smell a thing like coconut cake. Oddly enough, it smells like fresh Play-doh to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that...but it just seems very "odd". I'll have to get the Dick's opinion.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

i have always loved the smell of playdough. something about childhood memories i guess.

You should definitely get these then! I feel like I'm 5 again, so I guess it's not all bad. Just seems like a strange "candle scent". :-)

I love those Yankee Candles. My wife buys some everytime we visit the States, and now we found a mail order place over here that sells them. We had quite a few over Christmas. One called Christmas Eve that we burned on Christmas Eve of course. I don't remember any previous Christmas Eve's smelling like that though. My favourite is the Cookies one. I bought a car-scent of cookies last time we were in Florida from Yankee Candles in the Florida Mall. Every time I got in the car for the next few months I got the smell of fresh cookies. Mmmmmmmm...Cookies....Drool.

Oh, my mom got me one of those tart burners for CHristmas - I'd never seen them before, but it looks so cool. Its been sitting next to my desk for a few days reminding me to test it out :)

I had some of their candles on the tables at my wedding. The Vineyard and Sugar cookie, to be specific. Those smells really make me smile now, every time I smell them!! My wedding room (previous house's extra bedroom where all the wedding stuff was kept before and after the wedding) smelled like that the rest of the time we lived there!!!

I think it's a weird Yankee Candle company tradition. I bought an "Apple Pie" candle that I swear smells like Egg Nog.

I LOVE Yankee Candles! I always have a cinnamon candle around the house. Right now I also have the Christmas Eve candle, Sugar Plum candle, Mixed Berry and Oatmeal Cookie candle. My favorites are the cinnamon and oatmeal cookie. But all I burn are their house-warmer candles. Haven't tried the tarts yet. I guess one should always be open to trying tarts, eh? ;-)

My favorite scents are their pumpkin spice and harvest ones -- but we both prefer the tarts to the candles. Much more "concentrated" scent and it fills up the entire house in minutes. We have both, but burn the tarts more often.
