Todd's watching "Armageddon" right now, and the scene with Liv Tyler and Baldie was just on. I never noticed before that "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" was playing in the background. How creepy is that? Making out -- real or imaginary -- to your dad's music is just plain wrong.
Mmm... but I don't think she really thinks of him as "dad." I mean, didn't she first find out that she was his kid at one of his concerts? I'm sure whatever relationship they do have, it's definitely not like mine with my dad. ¤ ¤ credit: katie | 12.14.02 at 10:18 PM | link-'Tis true... I still think that would be just a bit too strange though. ;-) Of course, having to make out with Ben might be a worse fate. ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 12.14.02 at 10:22 PM | link-FINALLY, a woman who doesn't swoon over Ben Affleck! He's just so.. nice. The bastard. ¤ ¤ credit: Quinn | 12.14.02 at 11:35 PM | link-Oh, but I love that song! (and that movie, for that matter) Ben Affleck only became icky to me in the recent months, so I can still watch that movie and smile :) Movie soundtracks usually are laid down after the filming is complete. The actors usually don't have clue what music is going to be used. It is not like while they were filming the scene they had the mood music going because THAT would be creepy. ¤ ¤ credit: Damelon Kimbrough | 12.15.02 at 12:53 AM | link-I haven't seen this movie, but yes...that WOULD be kind of icky! As for Ben...as most of the world knows, he is from the Boston area...Cambridge, to be exact. As such, he gets invited to the broadcast booth during Red Sox games from time to time. I hate him because he dissed my man Lou Merloni...undeservedly so! And now he's engaged to J.Lo...she who once schtupped your friend and mine...Puff Daddy (I refuse to go along with all the name changes!). This proves me right...I said the man had no taste when he dissed Lou, and now the whole world knows it. I feel vindicated! :-) ¤ ¤ credit: Christine with an M. | 12.15.02 at 12:59 AM | link-I noticed that about that scene the first time I saw it in the theater and I thought it was just *too* creepy. ¤ ¤ credit: Christine | 12.15.02 at 01:00 AM | link-i feel that that entire movie sucked. yes, including the soundtrack. the only thing realistic about that movie is that yes indeed, we do live on the planet Earth. ¤ ¤ credit: mikey | 12.15.02 at 03:57 AM | link-Speak for yourself, Mikey....:) ¤ ¤ credit: AntGrad | 12.15.02 at 06:28 AM | link-ditto everything that mikey said. the plot of the movie was, how do i put it, a tad implausible. then again, heat vision (aka owen wilson) is in it, so it's not ALL bad. ¤ ¤ credit: bhart | 12.15.02 at 10:28 AM | link-I remember watching that scene and thinking, nice, she managed to work in a music video for one of her dad's songs. 'Cause c'mon, that whole scene, the silhouette of the tree and the sunset, it was so a music video... I'd assumed it was a contractual thing she'd finagled with the producers. ¤ ¤ credit: Bill | 12.15.02 at 02:02 PM | link-
