Oh fortune - how you mock me
So we discovered today that one of these is five days away from opening -- less than 10 minutes away from where Todd works (and less than 15 minutes away from our old apartment down in St. Pete). Keep in mind that since we've moved to our home in the 'burbs, Todd has an hour-commute each way. It's close to him -- but not to me.

He's been informed it would be wiser to come home with lipstick on his collar than chili. That there is grounds for a quickie-divorce!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

I think of you every time I eat at Sonic (like yesterday). :)

Todd: I cannot tell a lie, I cheated on you with another woman. That's why I've been coming home late the past few nights.

Robyn: Don't you lie to me bizzotch, you've been sneaking off to Sonic again haven't you?

Oh, but how very convenient it will be for him to bring some home for you!!! :) Tee hee!

Kinda like that commercial where the guy puts lipstick on his collar because he's been spending too much time in the car... Only this time the mistress comes in a shiny silver paper wrapper with red, yellow and blue writing.

And most definitely Kristine! Reheated Sonic is better than no Sonic at all... But he gets it for lunch every. damn. day. now. Waaaaah!

waaaaaaa! I miss Sonic. I haven't seen one since I moved to California.

I feel so guilty, because when I lived near one, I took it for granted. Never again will I take cheesey tater tots for granted.

Never again. *sniff*

Oh, how I love Sonic! I even get their promo email to see what the specials are each month. We just got one in my city, there was much rejoicing!

Is Sonic better than the old A&W Drive In's? And what can beat a real Southern California In-N-Out burger?

Even worse still.... chili scented lipstick on his collar!!! ;o)

Mmm.. Sonic. I used to go there before I moved out of TN, and I haven't been able to find one (within driving distance) since. Hehehe.. Chili scented lipstick..
...That probably exists somewhere :p

oh, we *heart* sonic! They have added breakfast and it's just the best! So sad there isn't one closer to you... maybe a visit to hubby at the office ?

I miss Sonic too - none in Michigan :( I loved getting their Cherry Lime Slushes!! Maybe since they're expanding to Florida, they'll move up this way too!

Quick note from Memphis...

Ah, the things we Southerners take for granted. I've got a Sonic within walking distance of my house. If that one is down for some reason (as happened in the Great Steak Sandwich Scare of '99), there's an emergency backup Sonic about ten minutes away. there's also locations fifteen and twenty minutes away.

Best thing about Sonic: the carhops are always friendly to my dog, who rides shotgun. :)

(I actually don't eat there that often, it's just nice knowing that it's around.)

We actually drove an hour to get dinner at Sonic tonight. We couldn't take it anymore -- power of suggestion was too strong!

There are at least 2 opening up on our side of the bay soon. I've seen the buildings, they can't get completed fast enough. Ulmerton Road and 66th Street. Looks like Sonic is making a big push into the Tampa Bay markat. Yay, us!

Oh my god. I SO SO SO want Sonic now!

Bill -- Todd called Sonic today and they said there's one planned for Waters in Tampa, and another one (beyond the two you've mentioned in Clearwater). Of course, the idiot only thought to ask which ones would be close to him at work, and not me up here in suburbia. Grrrr... So I have to make a phone call and find out just how far north they're spreading next week. I can't wait though! I'll happily drive to Clearwater or Tampa!

Hmmmm...I wonder if Sonic has maps like Cracker Barrel does?

I won't tell you there is one about 5 minutes from here and that I never eat there then lol..

I think in total i've eaten at a Sonic *maybe 4 times

Cracker Barrel! I love their beans and greens. I can't even get collard greens in California. Dude. I'm so massively homesick right now.

So it's a fastfood place. What's so special about it? Wow me, folks -- sell me on it. What makes it unique?

I like Boston Market, m'self, as a baseline.

I dedicate all of my Sonic meals to you. Every bite of my Frito pie ... with Chili & Cheese on top OF COURSE! All for you baby, all for you...

¤ ¤ credit: Christine | 12.14.02 at 04:36 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

Scott, eat one chili cheese coney and I won't have to say another word... ;-)

¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 12.14.02 at 04:45 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

ok...so where do you say those Sonics are? I live near USF for a baseline.

¤ ¤ credit: Ruthie | 12.14.02 at 06:35 PM | link--this ¤ ¤

The one on Ulmerton is OPEN. Went by it today on our way to my parents house. It is between Belcher and Seminole....

There is gonna be one on Waters huh? That is my territory!! Yay!
*g*

We once had two within reach of us, but both have closed. Ugh.
