Only a memory
I gave Todd a gift in 1995, right after we got engaged, that we still exchange to this day. It's something you can all make by hand, it's inexpensive, and it will become one of your favorite parts of the holiday season. You don't have to be a newlywed to enjoy it -- but here's my Newlywed Gift Exchange (page 1, page 2).

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

What an awesome idea! My grandmother had a little yellow bag that she would give me something little in every year for Christmas. For 20 some years I got that bag-and when she died it was the only thing I wanted of hers. I have started the same thing for my daughter....It is nice to have little non-traditional traditions.

Thanks for sharing yours!

This is an AWESOME idea. Guess who's getting a box this Christmas. Now, what do I put inside? I also got a "throwaway" ring to propose with, that should do it. It works well, too, as I proposed to her at the stroke of midnight on New Years 2002.

A wonderful idea indeed! Actually, Eric and I do something similar with a keepsake box we got as a wedding gift. Now that I think about it though, we haven't added anything to it in a while. I think maybe we'll turn ours into a Christmas tradition too. :) Thanks for the idea!

That's a wonderful idea!! I bought tiny three (blue, red and purple) stockings for each kid...plan to hang them on or near the tree and each day or when we find something for them, put it in the stocking. So each day/week they have something to look for.

What a beautiful tradition! Robyn, someday...I'll use this idea. I know I'll find someone special who'll love doing this. (It'll be in the pre-nup!)
