I play some bas-ket-ball
In other Sooner news...if you'll flip to ESPN2 right now, you'll see our boys takin' on the 'Bama boys in the Garden. It's awesome, baby! ESPN.com currently has the Sooner squad ranked #1 in the nation.

And OU has announced the 2003 Football Schedule. I don't want none-a ya'll bitchin' and whinin' (this means you) about our weak-ass schedule next year. Not like this year's has been easy (currently #10 SOS in the nation) -- but next year we'll be playing Bama at Bama, followed the next week by Fresno State, and as if that wasn't enough UCLA the next week. Don't tell me the Tide isn't gonna be out for blood when it's in their hizzouse. The Big XII. It's not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Power Rankings? Well you better watch your back my Wildcats of Arizona are gonna have something to say about that.

We got Lute !

I know I'm opening myself up for insults, but I figure you can answer my question faster than anyone else. I haven't been a college football fan all that long, so I'm confused as to why Texas hosts Oklahoma again, instead of the game switching back to Sooner-land. Is that a quirk in the schedule or just "how it is"? Thanks, Robyn.

Actually Oklahoma was the "home" team in the 2002 match-up. The game is held in the same location every year -- the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The university of texas is located in Austin.

Once upon a time the team fans had a history of literally burning each other's towns down, so it's been held in a "neutral" location equi-distant from each university and called the "Red River Rivalry" for 3/4 of a century now.

And this concludes your annual Oklahoma/texas history lesson...
