Here's a quarter - call someone who cares
This is pretty neat. Alabama has unveiled their new state quarter, and it will be the first U.S. coin in circulation to include Braille. The design features an image of Alabama native Helen Keller. It's still not as cool as Louisiana's quarter though. (Link from Yahoo! News.)

Bah I live in Washington we are not going to get a state quarter for a very long time. Then it is going to be something lame like a bust of George Washington. Even thought he never has been here. or a tree or something like that. Why can't they have something cool like a Mullet and Monster Truck, unemployed Tech worker or a Street Junkie. that would really say "Washington"

You can see where I get my American history from. I knew she was from Alabama from watching the kids of South Park perform "The Miracle Worker"! Gobbles???

wow, louisiana's is even better than the arkansas quarter!

i wonder what the braille will say. "alabama?" hopefully not "quarter."

Think of the nightmare if the Mint mixed up the Alabama and Louisiana quarters...Helen Keller's Jubblies! Egads!
