Posted: 10.01.2002 He wants to hurt me
Ok, after seeing the last post's title, Todd started singing. He won't stop. When you read below, you have to promise to do it in Bret Michaels' voice -- and feel my pain.
We both lie silently still in the dead of the night Although we both lie close together We feel miles apart inside Was it something I said or something I did Did the words not come out right Though I tried not to hurt you Though I tried But I guess that's why they say Chorus: Every rose has its thorn Just like every night has its dawn Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song Every rose has its thorn Yeah it does I listen to our favorite song playing on the radio Hear the DJ say loves a game of easy come and easy go But I wonder does he know Has he ever felt like this And I know that you'd be here somehow If I could have let you know somehow I guess Chorus Though it's been a while now I can still feel so much pain Like a knife that cuts you the wound heals but the scar, that scar remains I know I could have saved a love that night If I'd known what to say Instead of makin' love We both made our separate ways But now I hear you found somebody new and that I never meant that much to you To hear that tears me up inside And to see you cuts me like a knife I guess Chorus That there folks...wisdom for the ages. Thank goodness it wasn't one of Mikey's faves! Great! Now you have that song stuck in my head :-) ¤ ¤ credit: jazy | 10.02.02 at 12:24 AM | link--this ¤ ¤The quote about this by Solonor over at at Dick's is truly priceless: "Balances things out. Yin and Yang. Good and Evil. Pretty roses one day. Poison the next. He's a centered kinda guy." ¤ ¤ credit: robyn | 10.02.02 at 04:50 AM | link--this ¤ ¤Hey, it's the meaning of life! ¤ ¤ credit: Zoe | 10.02.02 at 04:58 AM | link--this ¤ ¤[homer scream] ahhh. My eyes, my ears, make it stop. Please, make it stop. I need to go crawl up in the fetal position now. ¤ ¤ credit: Statia | 10.02.02 at 08:39 AM | link--this ¤ ¤hmm, i used to like that song, but I was more of a 'Love Bites' fan, myself. :) ¤ ¤ credit: leandra | 10.02.02 at 09:36 AM | link--this ¤ ¤One of the best to sing while drunk. Loud, and off key. I don't know the whole song, but the "EEEEEEEEVERY Rose has it's thorn" part is a part of many drunk memories... ¤ ¤ credit: Christine | 10.02.02 at 11:03 AM | link--this ¤ ¤Oh I feel your pain... my name is Rose so I hear that one alot, and even studio production couldn't make *that* song sound good. ¤ ¤ credit: pie | 10.02.02 at 07:39 PM | link--this ¤ ¤Oh my lord, Leandra... I seriously have been singing that exact song all day long! HA!! I even posted about it in Dick's comments about TV shows. That's so sad, and so hilarious, all at the same time... ¤ ¤ credit: Susan | 10.03.02 at 02:14 AM | link--this ¤ ¤
