I'll have a twist of lemon
Here's one for all the Starbucks junkies out there. A new study has found that caffeine can kill pain, but only in women. Expect a double-caf espresso epidural with a twist of lemon in delivery rooms near you soon... (Read the full story at Yahoo! News.)

HA! Go figure -- I just had to cut out caffeine for a little while (I slowly tapered off) and nowadays, I've been having killer headaches. Catch-22, hmm?

Caffeine fills in the gaps between neurons in your brain...but only until it is metabolized. After it's gone, the gaps between neurons are larger.

Cocaine, big surprise, works much the same way.

Its not exactly new news that caffiene kills pain - caffiene is included in many over-the-counter pain killers like advil and excedrine.

Caffeine also helps in muscle contraction when you lift weights.
