Happiness is...
...the first day of ripping into a really big new bag of gummi bears. When you can dig right past the icky yellow and green ones and go straight to the red and white without much effort. No psychoanalyzing needed as to why those are my favorite flavors. Cherry and pineapple merely rule. Thirty-one days left!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

I have to agree with that!

Ok, I know you'll think this is odd, but I've finally smartened up. I used to eat all of my favorite flavors first. Now I save them for last. Then I have something to look forward to, instead of oh look, there's only yellow left. It's just not as appealing. except for Jujyfruits. Those I save all the black ones for last and then throw them. I like the sound they make. :oP

Hehe, I don't have a favorite flavor of gummy bears so I just shovel them into my mouth by the handful ;) Of course, I'm picky in a different way - I only like the Haribo ones. They're tougher instead of greasier/chewier. I like the texture a lot more. Of course, they're also a lot harder to find. The ones you can find in Walmart are usually Spanish Haribo and, while good, aren't quite as good as the German ones :) And there's your candy moment for the day ;)

I remember Todd and I searching for days for German Haribo bears a couple of years ago after they were touted on an old message board I used to frequent. I just did not like them. And one of the members had suggested leaving the bag open for a day or two because they were better stale. Then they were downright awful, IMHO. To be honest, my favorite brand is the Care Bear ones you get at the theaters. Unfortunately they just switched from bags to boxes of them at AMC, and you get about 1/3 what you used to for the same price. Grrrrr... Tarjhet's gummi bears (what I have now) run a close second though!

Those really are the best ! Good taste !! :)

Target is carrying Jordan Almonds (another movie theater favorite) now as well...Dan won't let me buy them, says one bag equals one serving. And he's right.

I always tend to forget that gummi bears having 0% fat doesn't much matter when I eat 5000 calories of them in one sitting. But I do my best to ration a bag out for 4-5 days. Unless it's a day like today. Then it lasts 2 tops. *g*

i'm with ya on the red ones, but i can't stand the white ones. i only eat the red and orange ones, and if i'm desperate, the green ones, but the white and yellow ones i never touch. i leave 'em all for the end, then i try to find someone else who likes 'em. there was one girl at my work, she was a perfect gummi bear compliment - she hated the red and orange, loved the yellow and white. that was awesome.

Yeah red and white! I eat 'em last, though. I used to take a bag with me to class everyday in college, and save the reds and whites for last, until everyone kept stealing them from me. So, before class, I'd pick out my favorites (red and white) and let everyone else eat the crappy ones. Strategy matters!

Never cared for the bears too much, can't seem to ever separate them from my teeth.

However, like Stacia mentioned, with Lucky Charms (one of my most treasured addictions), I like to save all the marshmAllows for last and get all that cardboard like stuff out of the way.

Wondering if Stacia, saves her favorite fruity pebble flav for last.

by the way Robyn when are you going to update the AvantGo version of this? I can't seem to get updates on my pocket pc anymore and this makes going to the bathroom a real drag. Now I have to resort to crazy eights or something.

peat

I totally agree about the red ones, but I don't like the white ones... they're kind of icky. Red and orange is the only way to go. ;)

You should start up a gummy bear trading group. We could mail the bears we don't like to the people that like them. *grins* The Gummy Exchange.

And I do the same thing as peat. Marshmallows at the end is the best. They're all soft, from the milk. It's great. I just bought a box of Lucky Charms last week as a matter of fact. Guess I know what I'm having for dinner tonight. ;)

"The Gummy Exchange" sounded so much more innocent when I was composing that entry. Reading it aloud now... Well, gummies have taken up a new meaning for me. I'll never look at that bag the same way again.

Okay, one day at work Rhonda and I were way bored... so she says "watch this!" Hehe, she licks the back of the gummie bear and flings it at the window! And not too surprising it stuck! Amazing... being bored at work rules!

We could so share a bag of gummi bears... I only eat the green and yellow. yum!

I love the yellow and hate the white. Should we swap?

Know what I really love though? The gummy cherries. Two red cherries with a stem ... YUM! Fresh ones from the candy store just yesterday - so tasty!

Admittedly a gummy bear adict...But Walmart for some reason their gummy bears have been really flat in color. And when you open them they are kinda dry and hard. I learned to go to the ones in the back and usually they are more fresh..These are the ones made in mexico..They are a dollar a bag here..Missouri. Walmart for a while had a new thing. Peach Penguins. when you open the bag it really had a good fresh peach smell but the taste changed for the worse. Oh well long live fresh gummys
