The good guys dress in black remember that
Well we just got back from seeing MIB II. It just seems like movies started off with a bang this summer and are slowly going downhill. I hope Mike Myers will break the streak. We both thought it had funny moments and great one-liners, but it was nowhere near as good as the original. And Lara Flynn Boyle is just getting plain scary to look at. What is up with her skin anyway? Does dating Jack Nicholson do that to a person? She was so beautiful in Threesome. But anyway -- go see it. Just don't stand in line an hour to do so. Thank goodness we didn't.

To do a complete 180° -- it's time for the next round of voting in "Today Throws a Wedding". This week you get to pick out the rings. (I went for the Harry Winston set. And my reception choice, Tavern on the Green, won last week.) I have to say I'd much rather see this wedding televised though... I might even drag my lazy ass out of bed at 7 a.m. for that one!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

I'm really looking forward to seeing MIB.I think that I'll go and see it tomorrow.

Hmmm... guess I'm in a good mood. I couldn't help but find a redeeming quality in MIB II and blog it on my own blog. If you're interested... http://www.gazm.org/blogs/2002_06_30_Fuzzy_Blogic_archive.asp#78538265

Thanks for the heads up (MIB II) and the post you linked too. OMG -- that was just AWESOME. I'll be reading there more often. :)

Three words: *D.V.D.* I no longer see movies in theaters, for several reasons.

Lara Flynn Boyle...oh, so nice and wholesome in *Twin Peaks*, now she looks like hell!

MIB II was enjoyable, if unremarkable. You wanna see a great film this weekend? Powerpuff Girls. Seriously. Excellent music and cinematography (is it still called that in a cartoon?) Fun story, nice edginess.

I liked it a lot better than MIB

We just went and saw Bourne Identity last night . . . I must say it was a pretty good movie. It was the first movie I liked Matt Damon in (after Mr. Ripley and All The Pretty Horses I didn't think there was much hope!). Anyway, if you haven't seen that one . . . I would highly recommend it.

I think we're going to have to pass on the Powerpuff Girls thing, John. We purposely go to the theater after 10 p.m. to avoid all the screamin l'il chillins -- and P.G. is kinda beggin' for that, ey? ;-) You should have heard us grown when two parents waltzed in the 10:45 showing with two kids under 3, and spread the family out horizontally across seven seats in our row. They're called babysitters people. Look into 'em!

Well, I saw the PPG at 3 am with my two bestest friends being the only other people in the theater. One of those, I should add, is a manager of said theater.

Seeing with kids likely would ruin the fun, but if you can get a nice midnight show, maybe if you live in a college town and can get join that audience.... Oh. Yeah.

Aig I was so hoping that it would be as good as the first one! :( well, we'll still have to give it a try.
