Better cut off all identifying labels...
I'm down to the oldie-but-goodie part of my t-shirt pile as a mountain of dirty laundry starts to grow. The one on top tonight? An OU NROTC Naval Ball shirt from 1992. I love this shirt. It's old. It's comfy. It's one of those that just makes you feel safe and snuggly when you put it on, because it reminds you how you got it. It was a loaner (that I obviously never returned) after a fabulous fall break in Pensacola... Everything I had to wear home had sand on it, so Bryan tossed me this shirt my final morning in town.

What's your favorite "I swiped this from my ex and never returned it" possession -- clothing or otherwise? Is there a good story behind it?

(P.S. Bryan, if you ever read this one day -- you can't have the shirt back. Sorry, but I've had it longer than you did now.)

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

well, they weren't exactly "ex's", but i've got about 6 shirts that are all too small for me... hey, i couldn't do the "walk of shame" without wearing something, yanno?

actually, i was usually the one who'd lose clothing in that deal... i lost like, a billion pairs of boxers that way.

My comfy, squishy, dark gray, ugly to everyone but me sweatpants that an ex gave to me because I kept telling him how much I liked them. Later he asked for them back but I refused to give them up. They have a hole in the butt and the seams inbetween the legs are getting thin, but I don't care. They are still the pair I go for the first night of "chill" in Houston, and I am so comfy in them. 11 years, still going strong.

A guy I dated for a couple of years loaned me an army t-shirt and it became mine. I think he asked for it back from time to time.... probably more as a joke.

Mine is kind of funny... she isn't my ex but my wife now but it is still funny.. For my birthday a couple years ago when we where just dating she left a pair of panties and a bra with a poem my glove box. The poem basically said that since these items were in my glove box that I should imagine what she wasn't going to be wearing under her dress at dinner. Well that's not the funny part. A year and a half later I buy a new vehicle and the salesguy is talking to me as I clean out my old car. Well needless to say I open the glove box and out pop the panties and bra... he gave me the weirdest look... I thought I should have asked him if the thought they would look good on me. LOL

I have a great rugby shirt - an actually team shrt from a high school team in London. I was visiting a friend and out walking with a guy (I dated briefly) just after his practice - a (seperate) mutual friend said to him that "real men would give a girl the shirt right off their backs." The guy I was "seeing" turned and looked at me... and took it off:) Needless to say, he's never getting it back:)

Brian, that's hysterical! My husband's got mine in his glovebox right now as we speak. He's had them there since before we were married too. I like to think of them as kind of marking my territory. hehe ;o)
