Doin' the funky chicken
This is quite possibly one of the scariest looking things I have EVER seen! Even worse than photos of Darva Conger naked...

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

my gawd, that is just sick looking! and how morbid is that? genetically altering chickens just so they're easier to make into food? man, humans suck.

I'd love to hear what Brian Fellow would have to say about that chicken.

"That chicken got red devil skin! Keep him away from me, I don't wanna get bit!"

LOL! that's too funny. If you step back for a moment and just purely look at the logic, it is a pretty smart concept, especially saving tonnes of water in the plucking process. Even though it seems weird to us, there'd be cultures that wouldn't blink. Good on 'em!

"my eyes my eyes! The pain" If I wasn't a redmeat eater before, I think after seeing that picture I will be now!! Scary!

Ew! Despite my little fall off the vegetarian-wagon this weekend I've got to jump full-on back into sanctimonious Jamese mode and decry that utterly.

It's bad enough that the factory-farming system we've devised to "simplify" the treatment of food animals as mere inventory throughout their entire unhappy lives pretty much correlates exactly to a concentration camp (and no, I'm not trying to be inflamatory, and I'm most certainly not trying to downplay the ordeal of those millions who suffered and died during World War II). But now we're completely removing them from their natural context and turning them 100% into products, engineered however we need them, for our convenience.

Sure a chicken is stupid as all hell, I believe I saw "6" somewhere as the average chicken IQ. But the nervous system is advanced; they can feel pain, fear.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd sure like to think that the pinnacle of human evolution is an empathy for all other living things, not an impersonal technique that turns other organisms into just another product. We only rob ourselves.

the poor thing has nothing to protect it from the cold -- how awful.
