Big shocker here...ABC has finally given "Politically Incorrect" the boot... But in its place will be a new show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel (of "Win Ben Stein's Money", "The Man Show", and "FOX NFL Sunday" fame) that will debut following next year's Super Bowl. Somehow I just don't see this one working.

"The Man Show will have several months of original episodes, but the show will end production with Kimmel's departure."

I wonder if Terry and Howie will finally be rid of 'im though? (Article from CNN.)

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

kinda sad, tho... PI was a great show. i surely didn't agree with everything that was said on that show, but damn, it really gets you involved and thinking. i dunno how many times i wanted to yell at the TV whilst watching it...

I hate to see it go, too, although I haven't watched it in awhile. I always tuned in during election season though. The cancellation isn't a big shocker after all of the controversy after 9-11, however. ABC was just looking for a chance to give him the boot. I don't see Kimmel's show working at all. I actually like the Man Show -- but so many people hate him -- celebrities and viewing public.

No way! It was a great show.. .even though we haven't watched it bc of it's time slot since the Clinton-Dole election! *grins* And The Man Show... yech.... Hey, I tried to watch it...

Jimmy Kimmel is one of those lucky bastards who doesn't know how good he's got it. He had a good thing with Ben Stein, but he passed that up to host The Man Show. Not satisfied with that, now he's ditching the Man Show to go out on his own. The Jimmy Kimmel Show, I guess.

What's the common denominator in this guy's past successes? Hint: their names are Ben and Adam (and Terry and Howie...). He is not enough of a talent to make it on his own, and he's about to find out.

Jimmy's talented. You had to know hime *before* he went to Comedy Central and became a TV celeb. I was kind of surprised how he didn't come off as funny on television.

He won't last too long on ABC, but it's not because he's a no-talent. He's just not as funny on TV. Plus, he's a huge Letterman fan. He *knows* he can't compete in the late night arena. He's just putting his career on auto-pilot to see where it takes him.
