Baby steps
In order to make David happy, I've decided to finally tackle CSS as I can... There's a new beach skin up now that's pretty bare-bones and plain as far as my skins go -- and so far I've only figured out how to make it pretty in 1024x768. But if you're on a slow modem, moving everything out of tables should start to speed things up for you. So have at it if you so desire!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Hey lovely girl - want some help with the absolute positioning? If my browser isn't opened up far enough, the text is overlapping. I've got some tricks up my sleeve, so just say the word, and I'll hook you up :)

I would just like to take a second to publicly state that Kristine ROCKS! She helped me fix the size-scaling issue on the new CSS template in seconds-flat. Thank you soooooo much!

You're already using some CSS in your other skins, right at the top - you just don't have them set outside of the skin as a different file. So ... you're further ahead then you're giving yourself credit for!

Christine -- it's a lot easier to tweak font sizes and scrollbars in CSS than to work with exact positioning of the columns I have set up for sidebars and entries already. It's a whole 'nuther ballgame at that point. "Baby steps" was a very appropriate title -- and I couldn't have got as far as I did without Kristine!

I think the best way, as Stacy suggested last night, is to start deconstructing a template from the ground-up so I can get a better "grasp" of what all the new codes and tags mean. It's just finding the time to do so...
