My my, how can I resist you?
How on EARTH did I miss this? There's an entire musical devoted to ABBA songs, and it's coming to Tampa Bay. As a child, I loved ABBA. There, I said it. And in college, it was often the CD of choice to accompany 'tasty beverages' at "The Farm". Then Erasure's ABBA-esque CD took it to a whole 'nuther level. (Even Todd is a closet-fan of that one!) So now there's a musical? I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. Has anyone out there caught the show yet?

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

We were skeptical, but got free tickets so we went. We really enjoyed it!!!! It was fun, and it was cool how they incorporated the songs into the story. The cast in Boston was awesome, too - hopefully the Tampa cast is as good! If you like ABBA's music, you'll get a kick out of the show. I'm not a huge fan, and even I liked it!

mamma-mia is a rave in NY, I still haven't seen it but I want to. I have seen little snipits on tv and it looks good.

Julie is a dancing queen young and sweet only seventeen. Just had a flashback of Muriel's Wedding.

Now admittedly I'm in Toronto, the best city for musical theatre in North America. But the show *rocks*; I've seen it three times already! Don't walk, run!

I saw Mamma Mia here in LA last fall. It is a GREAT show if you are an ABBA fan (like I am). The storyline is a bit hokey, but it plays out well with the music. I highly reccommend going to see it, I do I do I do.

In a freak coincidence my family and my boyfriend's family bought tickets to Mamma Mia on two consecutive nights. I thought I'd bow out of the second show, but I ended up going both nights. It's silly and kitschy and you'd be insane not to love it.
