Oops, she's not yet a woman
And apparently not much of a thinker either! (Article from MSNBC.com)

"When told that Alastair Campbell is a big fan of hers, Britney Spears asked who he is. 'He’s Tony Blair’s right-hand man,' Spears was told, according to the London Daily Mirror. 'Tony Blair?' said Britney. 'I’ve never heard of him either. Who is he?' Spears was told that Mr. Blair is the prime minister. 'Oh!,' she reportedly gasped. 'He’s very important then if he’s the prime minister. That’s a real tough job, isn’t it? It’s really cool that this guy Alastair Campbell likes me, then.'"

She's scheduled to appear next on the Tonight Show's "Jay Walking" to discuss U.S. foreign policy and the crush that guy, you know, 'who would like take over if Bush is unable to fulfill his duties during his Presidential reign' has on her... Don't hate her because she's beautiful.

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Where's her sign? hee hee
all beauty but pure fluff!

Ms. Spears, astrologically, is a Sagitarius Sun, Aquarius Moon with Libra rising. All would indicate intelligence... but astrology isn't exactly an exact science ;)

Her data is:

DoB: 12/02/1981

ToB: 01:30 (am) CST

PoB: Mahon, MS

Lat: 34 N 39

Lon: 89 W 31

Here's a link to her chart as well as the site I obtained her birth data from ;)

Sorry, I'm an astrology geek :)

When asked why she sang "I Love Rock n Roll" in her recent movie, Britney replied "I've always loved Pat Benetar". Poor thing. Even in her own industry she doesn't have a clue.

*slap to the forehead* yoiks!
umm.. ummm.. not quiet sure what to say here, maybe she missed out on some schooliong because she was touring. Yeah that must be it!

Don't hate her cause she's beautiful, hate her cause she's thick as shit and smells faintly of peepee.

What? I'm willing to bet that a larger number of kids her age than we'd like to admit are no "smarter" than her. Heck, question your random 30+ year old on the streets of anytown USA and I bet that they wouldn't know who Tony Blair or Alastair Campbell are. Let alone Dick Cheney, the governor of their own state, etc, etc. Hate her? No. Hate the fact that our country doesn't take education seriously? Hell, yes!

i don't think that she's even beautiful. but, geoff has a good point. people here are stupid. i remember once i saw a "jay walking" where people didn't know how many states there were. i was laughing so hard. anyways, the next day at work, i was relating to someone how funny it was, and she said "how funny... they didn't know there are 52 states". i shook my head in disgust. after that, i asked nine other (all college edumacated people) how many states there are... and two, count 'em TWO people got it right. it's pretty fuckin sad.

Mikey and Geoff are so right. I heard a contest question on the radio asking how many stars are on the American flag. Most people said 52.

I think the poor baby, baby didn't have the opportunity for much of an education. She's been touring for most of her life. I wonder how many british 19 year olds know who Dick Cheney is?

Geoff, I probably wouldn't have got Alastair off the top of my head without a few prompts first -- but there's absolutely no excuse good enough for our education system that Americans can't name at least every Prime Minister in our lifetime. Do you think they can't name our Presidents?

I think the real joke was in her reaction ("He’s very important then if he’s the prime minister. That’s a real tough job, isn’t it? It’s really cool that this guy Alastair Campbell likes me, then.") -- NOT in the fact she didn't know who they were, though. Yeah, I'd say Prime Minister was a 'real tough job' myself!

if I had her money and status I probably wouldn't care either.

I'm right there with you on the lack of education of people in this country. Here's a few of my personal experiences while teaching French at a university:

1. Me: Have you ever been to a foreign country?

Student: No....unless you count Canada.

2. Me: What are some examples of dead languages?

Student: Chinese?

Me: I think the people in China might disagree.

3. Student: Before I started working on this presentation, I thought Morocco was in Europe!

Robyn, I disagree... I'll tell you, I remember Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair... I can't remamber who was before that. I remember more U.S. Presidents, because the U.S. media has them in the press daily. The British P.M.s are there too, but they are way more understated, so they have faded from my memory. I think very few people in this region would remember all the British P.M.s of their lifetime, unless it was an issue they had an unusual interest in. Re Britney's faux pas, and the average American response, what Mikey and Geoff said.

I would have thought that after Tony Blair stood up and was so vocal after 9-11 that everyone would know who he was! Doh!

Doesn't she know that it was Suzi Quatro that sang "I love Rock 'n' Roll"????? <insert stupid laugh here - I do actually know the real answer>. I think they had those mouse ears on her too tight all those years ago ;)

Pssst...Mad Bull...John Major ring a bell? And I would like to politely disagree with you. If the United States is going to remain major allies with a country, and look upon them for support during any kind of global incident -- I feel it's a matter of respect if nothing else that our citizens know that country's leaders. Just because people don't know something doesn't mean that we shouldn't take the time to teach them and change the system so they do learn it, IMHO. But then again, my degree is in History and Political Science.

Looks like her fans have a little trouble spelling her name!
