No taxation without (online) representation
Seen at Chris Pirillo's: Electronic tax filers could get extra 10 days to file. "To encourage greater electronic tax filing, President Bush wants to give e-filers an extra 10 days to get their returns in and begin designing a system allowing more people to file directly to the IRS via the Internet for free."

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

I dunno...Mike does the taxes around here now, since we got married, and he swears by the old-fashioned paper way! He's not much of a net-head, but maybe someday I will get him to blog...LOL!

Also, he says he will never file electronically precisely because the gub'mint encourages it, and he doesn't want to make life too easy for the evil IRS!

Besides, as long as we are getting a refund, we don't need that extra ten days. We're getting around $600 back, and will file this week, since we finally have all the papers we need. File this early, and we get our check pretty fast, even via snail-mail.

If we ever owe, we mail it at the last possible second on April 15. We figure that even with the extra 10 days, it will take longer for them to wade through all the piles of mail to get to our check, than it would for them to process an electronic payment on April 25.

Hey...we may be forced to file tax returns...but no one says we gotta make things easy for the gub'mint! :-)
