More from the great beyond
Catherine asked for more detailed pics of our yard, and I must confess, there's a reason I shot a lot of close-ups today. We're in the process of removing a tree in the back right now, and it's really hard to shoot wide-angle shots until we get it all cut up and bagged for removal. Here are a few of the yard that were taken last summer during the inspection though (photo 1, photo 2, photo 3). The first is the fish pond right outside our bedroom window, the second is Todd's second home when he's a very naughty husband (a.k.a as the G.R.O.S.S. - Get Rid of Slimy girlS - headquarters), and the third is the bench across the yard from the pond. I also have a photo of the front yard, taken last week, here. We have a lot of work to do this spring post-drought, but we're looking forward to the challenge!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Thanks for sharing, Robyn! I really like the 3rd photo... it looks like the perfect corner to sit and swing while reading a book.

I also LOVE the front of your house! I remember seeing pictures a while back when you were renovating or did you build the house from scratch? Shucks I don't remember off hand, but I definitely remember your kitchen in particular... especially the appliances!

Lovely home... simply lovely :)

Our house was built in '93, so it's just new to us. (We're the second owners.) But we've done a lot of changes here and there as the budget allows. You're probably thinking of my "green be gone" revamp in the kitchen. The old owners had up a hideous border and antacid-green paint. It's now sans-border and a lovely shade of taupe. :-) Thanks for the compliments -- it took us a long time to get here, and we're happily taking in every minute of it!

I love that Pond outside your window and its nice to see that Todd can park his car right under his little room....we had a swing just like yours too that faced the pond out back but the previous owners took it...

I actually put the fort and the swing in our contract before we'd sign! :-) I forgot the car though, so they took it with them -- poor Todd! The pond is nice to look at and listen to, but a pain to maintain. With all the sun we get here, we are constantly fighting algae. As much as I wanted one, and it was a key reason I was sold on the house/yard, I'd never do it again purposely! We've finally got the water clear now that it's winter (thanks to our koi and bottom-feeder too), but I expect a full battle again come April or May... What area of Tampa Bay are you in Heather? We're up in Pasco.

I can't get over how similar our houses look from the outside. It's that cool!?
