The Red Room
Kristine asked for pics of our "red room", so here are a few (photo 1, photo 2, photo 3, photo 4)! We're not quite done with it yet...with time, and more money, we plan to add white chair rails and crown moulding. But it's one of our favorite rooms in the house so far!

Hey boy take a look at me...let me dirty up your mind...

Oh I need one of those! Of course I would have to say minus the OU stuff, but that is a merely a matter of personal taste.

Is that an OU barbie I see? Did you have that custom made?

It sure is an OU Barbie -- I got her for Christmas a couple of years ago! It's actually an authentic Mattel Barbie, but they're discontinued, and pretty hard to find now. The Santa in one of the photos is an OU Santa, too, and the little girl's wishlist reads "BEAT TEXAS" in little kid scribble. :-)

This is a sickness rarely seen outside the Alabama/Auburn area of competition.

of course it's one of your favorite rooms!! Amazing!! and you even have one of our Transcript posters! How'd you get that when you're in Florida?

That's actually the newspaper from that day -- not the poster. I bought it on eBay because it matched the headline for the College World Series win next to it (when we were at OU).....but, we went back for OU/Nebraska last year and also went to the Orange Bowl. We bought TONS of stuff for both of those, and then friends (hey Jana!) and family sent us TONS more. In fact, we have so many newspapers, magazines, books, etc. from last year that we have a storage bin for it all. :-)

Here's scans of our "trophy case" in there -- I think most of the big stuff is on this page, except for our photo with Lee Roy Selmon this fall:

It's great to see that you have so much school/team pride! Me? I'm just real bitter that so much of my paycheck is going towards student loans! ;)

I agree with Sekimori about the "sickness", WAR EAGLE (-:

I agree, you're both crazy about OU, to the point of being sick, but it's fun, right? I'm just glad you both graduated and have so much enjoyment from it all. Not everyone can say that! Proud of you both. :)

I *love* sports themed rooms! I used to (sort of) have what I called a shrine to the Dallas Cowboys when we lived in Washington, DC. Got rid of it when we moved back since we're amongst Dallas fans. Big whoop. It was more fun being a fan in DC (Deadskin county) than back home in Texas. You guys ROCK!

And it's cooler than the BARBIE themed room you had as a little girl! lol

I *hated* Barbie and I *still* do ... and what does my daughter like? Bingo... Barbitch.

I don't remember a Barbie room mom -- just Hollie Hobbie and then Miss Piggy. Which house was that?

In Ponca City, you had a Barbie dream house that took up a whole wall in your room, Barbie vette, Barbie jeep, Barbie swimming pool, Barbie store, Barbie dolls (9 I think), and a whole suitcase full of Barbie clothes. At Christmas, your cousin Kerry and I were laughing that all you two did when she came to our house was play Barbies. She said she loved coming to our house, but hated the Barbies. LOL. That's her memory of our house, BARBIE!

Oh I knew I had tons of Barbie stuff. I was a princess after all. ;-) I just couldn't remember a Barbie *decorated* room. Guess that's why!

I had so much fun this Christmas, it was my job to shop for the ten year old little girl my employees "adopted". I was in the Barbie aisle shopping to my heart's content. LOVED it. Lots of memories shopping for you, still can't turn down a Barbie for you now and then, such as the Barbie tree ornament that you got this year. :)

Oh, I love it - that's just way neato how you focused on something you both love so much and gave it such a nice theme. The red walls are really nice - someday, I'm gonna have my own house with colored walls!!! :)
