Pathetic
Tony Dungy's theory has always been "keep it close 'til the fourth quarter and the defense will take care of business and pull out the win". Trouble is, the Bucs are sitting at 5-5 -- and just squandered a 13-3 lead to go into OT with the Bengals. The defense can no longer keep it close, and this ridiculous theory is finally being blown out the water. Even if the Bucs manage to pull out a "W", I don't consider this one a win. I consider it pathetic coaching! (Updated to say that the Bucs won 16-13 in OT off a Gramatica field goal, after a recovered goal-line fumble by my favorite Buc and hero John Lynch. This is the second game-winning turn-over forced by Lynch in less than a week. Why do I constantly get the feeling he is the only one giving it his all on defense this season though?)

At least you're not a Detroit fan..

Yeah, I was riding the Redskin wave and it was sooo good while it lasted. They suck. It was funny because I was watching an interview with Lavar Arrington before the game and he was saying how he didn't want the fans who "jumped on the bandwagon" after they started winning. Well, Lavar, honey, don't think you need to be worrying about that now...ya loser.

yes, the cowboys (MY cowboys) suck this year. but we swept Washington.. AGAIN.. so that at least salvages the season.

of course Lynch is a great player... he's from Stanford. Pac-10 kicks ass! and even if the Bucs don't make the playoffs this year (sorry, i just can't root for a team led by Brad Johnson), they can at least be secure in the knowledge that they have by far the coolest uniforms, college or pro.

Don't worry about trashing Brad Johnson around me -- if you'll search through my archives, it's something I've done many times. I can't stand him, and see absolutely NO reason that we're forking over his salary vs. one for King.

I was a diehard Cowboys fan my whole life 'til they fired Switzer. It's just never been the same for me since... And right about that same time we moved to Tampa Bay, so when the Bucs made the switch from orange to red that spring, we were insta-Bucs fans! And after seeing Lynch level his brother-in-law (who then played for Chicago) the weekend before Thanksgiving one year, and completely knock him out, my life changed forever. ;-) I'd rather take a hit from Mike Tyson than John Lynch!

you know, i totally remember that hit (i lived in chicago at the time). it was on John Allred, right? i just remember all the local sportscasters saying that he was gonna have a lot of 'splainin to do to his wife.
